They did already add additional gathering classes:
Retainers
FC Airships
Still want a 'barn' in the yard that this new gatherer can utilize. Select your breed; milk and gather hair while it's alive; 'remove crop' - collect meat and leather or something along those lines. Feed medicine and special foods to increase quality/quantity/mutations ala cross-breed gardening.

Kill mobs with dps/healer/tank and you get meat, hides etc. The only thing i could come up is milling. Anyway, they can just fix the drop rate for those not giving us more DotL.
The disciples of hand we have cover every possible crafting there could be. Any new crafter will just take away from another's role.
Unlike dow/dom crafting things isn't a fancy/creative role that can be done in different ways. They create artistic/amazing things but the art of creating them is never unique. This is why trying to create unique crafting classes has never been done.

Inventory wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't so much random garbage needed for so many crafting recipes. They could rework crafting and gathering and take out a lot of the bloat required in crafting.
I do, but it procs so very not often it can be hard to notice that effect, especially with the additional effect Mug got standing out far more.
It relates to how "useless" some think a 4th would be. I mean if FSH can catch so many fish that are only good for desynthesis then what would make a 4th class any more useless than FSH is now? Case and point: FSH isn't entirely useless and neither is a well-planned new class.
Yeah, and they suck with these low ass drop rates in expansion zones.
Guildmaster of Power With Numbers (PWN) on Coeurl in Aether.
A single ability you can turn on or off ("Retrieve drops", with a high buff to drop rate when it's on and a 0 drop rate when it's in another mode) would fix the low drop rate concerns, potentially also prevent people from getting their inventories filled, and resolve this whole subject matter.
