XIV Devs: Discord app now permits integrated game stats!

I feel like Yoshi P is wasting his time creating an in game communication app for us when he can be making something else that is needed instead like getting rid of the DDos attacks or maybe fixing the housing issue we have had since this game began. Maybe I am a put down but I feel like Discord is enough for us we don't need anything more and I feel its a waste of time to make another app to make it so that people can chat in game.

I understand the concern, but this isn't really another app to need to support. The only thing they need to do is code permissions that can be attached to a profile.

There's a LOT of problems that Yoshi P has let go for a very, very long time. I don't disagree at all with your statements, especially me being on a locked server and ticked the hell off at his choices lately. But unless Final Fantasy XIV starts implementing more advertising-generating news he's going to find that this game will be overshadowed for not trying to keep up. We're already seeing massive waves of apathy for the game and he needs a new direction to keep people playing.

I'll never understand such comments, because at the end of the day there are different department responsible for working on different kind of tasks. As with every company you have different employes with different tasks they can do. You can't put an car seller in an car service station and let him repair a car for example. Just doesnt work that way. I am not sure if i'll use the app, but i am still happy about getting it for the sake of the game and additionally the app will be the best option to include an voice chat for the game, since the voice chat probably has to be cross plattform and an smartphone VC would do just that without needing the permission of sony. This is imo more likely than an discord intigration .
