If housing was fixed then I would suggest personal instanced farms and the class farmer. Players could all have access to 3 garden plots, raise and breed chocobos from a baby (racing and personal) ,breed certain animals which we could use for skins, food etc.

Doing these small chores each day would slowly increase our level in the class giving us access to certain abilities/traits i.e irrigation (automatic plant watering), proficiency in shearing/skinning u gain one extra skin/fibre.

Nothing extra or new would need to be added to our inventory, as it would just be mats that we currently have. We could also expand on this and allow us to decorate this area with outdoor furnishings.

If you own personal ( depending on type of house ) you can have full access to 3 plots, you can already grow plants with pots, I like you chocobo breading, if we are breeding animals for skins/meat/veggies/seeds/fish that is what retainers are for. Send them to hunt. What is the point of us doing it except give us a moment of Zen?
