    Instead of the minor voice acting idea, i think that each quest deserves a cutscene and some sort of flashback perhaps, to explain in depth what the quest is about, even if its just a small one. I say flashbacks because we DO have the power of the echo, unless that is being taken away in 2.0 D:

    This is what Tor is doing for quests, it is fully voiced but also is like a little cutscene, no flashback tho'. Would be truly great if SE did this for FFXIV but this involves a lot of work and money so i'm not sure they'd want to go that route. But at the same time, doesn't big risks = big returns? I would be all for it!

    Well in the longrun, it would certainly make a demand for more quests and people want to do them. Nobody really reads through the long dialogue, and it doesn't have to be completely voiced. An in-game cutscene isn't too much to ask. Though a look back into the past can help develop a sense of lore and players wanting to learn more about where their character is and how the world around them has developed.
