Actually, its farther to the EU datacenter distance wise, so your point is actually broken there. Its about 1000 miles shorter actually. The EU datacenter is in Frankfurt Germany, which is 3800 miles from NYC. NYC to Sacremento, the supposed new NA location is 2800 miles.

By your logic, the ping to the EU datacenter should be 30% higher.

So better routing will make my ping 100 instead of 140, good to know.
Still should be in the middle.
