Apartment currently feels cramp, so we’d like to have options to have a S M or L sized apartments

パッチ4.2に向かって土地を増やして皆さんに公平に渡るように全力で開発を行っている なので今のところ大型のアパルトメントの開発予定はないがタスクが終わった後で前向きに検討したい

Therefore for now we don’t have plans to develop a large scale apartments right now but once we get the current task done, we’d like to move foward and see what we can do with it.

Different sized apartments sound like a possibility they’ll consider, not that they’re in development.

Sadly I think that's what they might end up doing... Instead of, you know, actually enforcing the one house per account limit going forward so all the career house sellers can't turn a profit. And staggering out wards /after/ the major patch has been added.

Or, you know, actually putting forth a real solution instead of one that continues to put housing out of reach of players, while still relying on an expensive and highly customization-limited system.

That is one way it could go and Yoshi makes it sound like a auction system may be put in place but I do believe there a few other ways it could go also. All the information is still very vague. I think at this point though we can rule out instance housing as Yoshi has confirmed that they are adding more wards.

Friend also brought up that they could do something along the lines of dynamic housing wards where houses would appear when people wanted to buy them, making it so there always enough for everyone. But, I don't think with our current system SE could even do that.

As is, if they keep the current system it limits a lot of the ideas and leaving with only a few fixes to the situation which may not be a fix at all, just another band aid fix. It is looking a bit grim that a lottery/auction system may be put into place but again, the information is far to vague still and we won't know anything for sure until closer to 4.2 I'll assume.

Hopefully they put their man power into a good fix for the the housing system ( I am rooting for the dynamic ward option).

As for my thoughts on a "lottery system". I dislike the RNG aspect for a feature of the game with such a large portion of advertisement coverage.

Considering practically everything in Japan is run through some form of lottery its the most likely solution he chose. Lotteries are not fun for the western audiences, period.
