I haven't done a character through HW after SB was added so I am unaware of what gear the game gives you from main scenario so I just added new player as a slight exception.

They give you a set of 240 gear, I think before you even finish 3.3

Had a Sycrus Tower the other day where one of the tanks kept provoking the boss out of everyone's shadowflares, to the point of leaving a perfect shadowflare path behind them. I eventually notice who it was and shouted "CURSE YOU *** WEED". Their name combined with the fact that they just really couldn't stand the shadowflare made it highly amusing though. The best part was when Xande killed Weed and we all started joking about how Xande HATES WEED. We will never forget you, *** Weed.

It also gives you a box of i200-ish gear for any job you do the lvl 60 job quest on. I remember getting the set for my bard when I got it to 60 a week or so after Stormblood droped.

Join a PF for Rabanastre, get a cohealer who only has WHM leveled. Okay, no big, I swap to AST.

Everything goes very okay. We wipe once to Hushpuppymal but who doesn't and move on.

A group has trouble killing their add during the third boss, the boss's aether gague gets quite up there. I have told them all at the beginning of the fight that his ultimate is proximity based and to stack on the far side instead of in the middle.

I'm alone over there, everyone else in the middle. On a whim I throw up a Largress'd Aspected Benefic on myself and pop CU.

I am the only one alive. I get off the (incredibly condescending) female Au Ra congratulations emote before I die.

Told my boyfriend this story jyst now and he coughed so hard from laughing I worried for him.

Dear players going into Sirensong Sea with level 50-59 i110-i150 item level weapons.

Why is there not a min ilevel for these fights like there are in some others? It would solve a lot of these issues.

Smh…thank goodness I learned a while ago when to keep my mouth shut. Entered the leveling roulette on my RDM and got Stone Vigil. I’m DPS, so nothing to worry about. Came in with a sprout PLD, an AST, and a BLM. Should be fine, but I wouldn’t be posting here if it turned out fine. The moment the gate drops, this sprout charges in and starts facepulling. Stone Vigil has a reputation for hitting like a truck, and sure enough, the first set of dragons are ripping him apart. The AST somehow keeps him alive in that, but this is the first pull. Nobody had protect and get this – the PLD didn’t have a stance, so naturally, I easily rip aggro.

This goes on until the 3rd pull and I ask him if he was gonna put on his tank stance. No response. I hear nothing from the other two as well. I figure that two of them are either in the same party or the same FC, so I just grit my teeth and say nothing else. It wasn’t until the pull before the 1st boss that the PLD finally put on a stance. Meanwhile, I’m having to pop diversion and even then, I still have to keep switching targets. I’m rotating between a single-target cast and Scatter. If I didn’t take hate, the AST did for trying to heal him.

But I grit my teeth still, because the queue is long and I don’t want to get kicked back into it.
Fortunately, we somehow manage to clear with no deaths. But the whole time, I got the suspicion that the PLD had a buddy in there. Soon as the final boss is down, I hightail it out of there and check the lodestone.

Suspicion confirmed – the PLD and the AST were both in the same FC on Balmung. Not only that, but so was the BLM. Three Balmung players from the same FC…yep, I’m glad I kept my mouth shut

For a change of scenery, I decided to play AST... in Rabanastre.

The party wiped twice at Mateus, and I didn't stick around to die any more. Highlights include:

- My co-healer replacing my AoE Balance with an AoE Spire.
- Me ressing said co-healer, watching one of our DPS die, and then having this AST leave the DPS on the floor, despite having enough time and MP to start throwing out Malefic IIIs.
- While I'm busy doing all the healing that they're not doing, and waiting for Swiftcast to get off cooldown so I can ress the DPS too.
- Then they decided to call out the RDM for not ressing.

Nope, I'm not carrying a bucket of failure, no thanks.

So my friends (6/8) were pfing Delta 4 Savage. Healer and Tank join in, we go in. We mostly died to fire III BHs a lot. WHM wasn't attacking him at all (no dots, no stone), which could explain why exdeath wasn't going below 89% during tentacles constantly. He accuses the RDM for not adding dots, which I reminded him that they don't have dots and politely asked him to do so himself. He then lashed out at me and threatened to stop healing me for asking that, even though I obviously need to be alive to do thunder III mechanic since i'm the tank. After the final wipe, we agreed to kick the healer for not just holding us back, but being unnecessarily rude to the party, and he went beserk and started hurling insults at me and the red mage. So I reported and Blisted him for that.
