What's the Creepiest Thing You've Experienced In-Game?

I had a female Lalafell stand next to me and spam their laugh emote. It was terrifying, to say the least.

Back when I started the game and didn't know about the ways of the bots, i saw some low level mob being aggroed in the shroud. Tried to look at their target since nobody was around but it was a weird gibberish name and when i tried looking at them it would just give me an empty circle on the groud. Little did I know the bot was below the ground.
The other actually creepy thing I experienced was a player I met. We spent quite a long time talking and playing together, but when i was invited to his wedding some time later i had a chat with another guest and it turned out that guy was quite the creep. Always found some female Miqo / Hyur / Au Ra in short clothing, talked to them to make sure they were actually girls in rl and basically stalked them until he found a new one. But as we all should know, mmo players are all desperate loners with no gf, the tv will tell you :P

As an Elezen, I’m always happy to see more of my race around, especially males, because they are the rarest. However, when I look at their faces, they all turn out to have creepy markings and scars.
“Oh! Is that really…? An elezen man?! Awww…” He turns around to reveal a long scar on the left cheek and white or violet war paint splattered around the eyes, which are usually pale amber, snow white or blood red.

Well, okay, no war paint (he has a dark tattoo over his right eye instead) but otherwise guilty as charged.

I guess a lot of people think along the same design lines? Combined with the limited choice of scar options. But for me, I liked the combination of the really elegant look with that nasty scar (and a hairstyle that attempts to hide it) - gives an idea of an interesting character.

Back when the servers were under the stress of all the DDOS nonsense, not long after Stormblood launched, I was with a group learning Lakshmi and I got pushed off the edge.

Except I didn't just fall into nothing.

I fell... and I fell... and I fell.

The arena went bright pink/yellow, then dark, then blue, then white.

It was both creepy and cool at the same time.

In 2014, I was playing with my Lalafell character on the Odin server. Then out of nowhere this Hyur Midlander came and started telling me how he likes my character's feets and that he wants to do certain things (wont say it here, because I do not want be banned) with them. I ignored him and moved on. The next day he starts asking me for my personal information, so I blacklisted him. He whispered me again with his alts and became aggressive whenever I told him to quit harrasing me. I thought he was trolling me, so I lied that I was a minor in the hopes that he would quit and leave me alone. I was wrong, he kept harrasing me. I reported him to the gamemasters and moved on.

Never experienced someone like him in a mmorpg before, not sure if he was a pedophile, realy into Lalafellins feet or just a troll.

I was at the fc chest in Gridania's GC headquarters, and some female miqo'te approaches me and sends me a tell, saying something along the lines of her Master was waiting for me and wanted to see me. She then requested I follow her. I didn't and ran to the big aetheryte and she followed me there and stood beside me, staring at me...

I then hastily went to my fc house in the LB and they didn't follow. Phew.

The creepiest thing I've seen happened a few days ago, whilst in Gridania at the market boards, I could hear a repetative, kind of croaking sound... and saw a pair of legs behind one of the marketboards, a level one character called Mr.Squeaky with bright lipstick and eyeshadow was emoting behind the board... then immediately logged off. I found that weird and creepy Oo

These creepy stories are turning into creeper stories. Here's another.

When I was playing as my male Highlander alt when going through the story in Coerthas. I was in a cutscene with Haurchefant, when I heard the tell sound effect. Once I was out of the cutscene. I read the message which was a complement about my Highlander. I thanked him and moved on. He sent me a friend request and I accepted. I was in another cutscene when another tell sound effect popped. This time he was there next to me and saying what he would like to do to my Highlander. It got gross. I decided to take a break and log off. Needless to say, it was a Lalafell.

My friends and I call this phenomena "duskwight.png". They ALL use the facial tattoos and all the damn facepaint. It's strange that putting absolutely nothing on your face makes you the most unique in the crowd.

As for creepy story - I was leveling my alt when I was sent a barrage of tells from this one cat boy asking if I used nude mods. The answer is NO?! And the question is why he would think that and bother to ask me?!
