Viera as the next new race~ Show your support

SE already said this is not possible, because of some server blablabla issue. For them adding in a new race or hairstyle is alot easier, so I wont be suprised if they add a new race in 5.0.

Well, he said it is not possible right now, but he said also that he wouldn't rule it completely out. So maybe Viera won't be implemented now, but perhaps later
It's just difficult right now because of the big hassle with the equip (especially shoes).

Just let's see what future is bringing :3

Another game I play has a race with a foot style very similar to how the Viera would be. They've managed to pull off the armor pretty well IMO. Of course this would take effort on SE's part to design the human template as well as one for the Viera, but it's totally possible. Some examples:















My main is not a cat, so I had to go creeping on people's feeet. This is just what I could find in the small amount of time I had :X

Correct It's their Firran (cat race). A lot of the shoes turn into more of a shin-guard, leaving the paws exposed. I think that type of style would work well for the Viera as well.

Currently our races all boil down to a human model with slightly varied features (tail, scales, long neck, bulk, etc).

Not to drag this too far off topic, but the game (IMO) is really quite gorgeous and has so many amazing features to it. WITH THAT SAID, the publisher has run the game into the ground with one bad decision after another, and they took the P2W model to the extreme. It's still possible to enjoy, just depends on your particular goals in-game. (I sure know how to sell a game, eh?!) :X

In AA, most sets appear to really only affect the foot gear, but I could be wrong. In XI, some of the mithra gear was completely customized to fit the race, so there is a tiny sliver of hope that they may do it again if they ever release Viera.
