If you're going to include voice line triggers on boss fights then GIVE THEM A VOICE!

Why on earth would you develop an encounter with Nael in Unending Coil having a voice trigger for an ability with no actual voice? The only way to tell what she is doing at a certain point is to look for a chat bubble and read the text. This is a consistent problem relating to the game itself as a whole, not quite on the level of ability triggers of course but its still a problem. Many things that would benefit from a voiceover just simply are not voiced. I even feel like people who just skip the cutscenes would pay more attention if more voices were added to them other than a few random MSQs having it.

I think it's a fair point. I'd love to see more voice acting in raids and dungeons. The last boss in Rabanstre having voice acting was a very pleasant surprise.

Hell it's what made Susano so easy to pick up when it was new content. Every attack worth caring about has a unique voice clip to go along with it, and unlike Chinchilla (Lakshimi) he doesn't have a voiced audio track to muddle the queues. It's absolutely unacceptable that they didn't go back and do the same for Nael in spite of how Ultimate is mostly reused assets... They shouldn't have a speech trigger if they aren't willing to put money down on some voiced lines.

There's a very real factor here:
The human brain reacts more quickly to audible stimuli, compared to visual stimuli. It would be slightly easier to react to a voice queue than a reading queue.

Whether this should be considered and used in development for purposely hard content I wouldn't be able to say.

I don't know if it's true or not, but the problem is we have already plenty of things to watch during the fight.
It would be more wise to not add one more visual thing.
    Voice would be perfect.

Please, audio cues would make the fight too easy. This is Ultimate, they should have written it in garlean or eorzean. That way you have to just remember the character pattern instead of reading it.

I think if you play "Answers" backwards it says "Paul is Dead".

Voiced speech triggers don't effect the difficulty of the encounter any more than using an ACT trigger or having someone do a callout in voice. The fight is plenty difficult and having Nael speak her line before doing the attack in reference would serve the exact same purpose and give the fight a lot more flavor. Blizzard has been doing this for at least a decade in their hardest content and the voice triggers don't even effect the difficulty. Not only that but there are many things in this game that would be better served with voiceovers.

I would learn towards having audio over purely visual queues when possible. Especially considering the rather rough netcode and latency issues in FF14. A few extra split seconds that's entirely the player's responsibility to react to should be fine and honestly a lot more enjoyable. It would only help people get into that flow of 'memorizing' a fight faster.

Plus, I feel our fellow Scions could stand to have a couple voicelines in battle. Like an "Operator" of sorts. In the same vein as Cid, Biggs, and Wedge during the Bismarck fight. Their queues are honestly one of the only(... Only?) Times the scions have helped us in a primal fight at all, and they're only in text form which is sad.
