    Weekly Savage Loot Adjustments

    I think that SE should make adjustments to the weekly savage loot. IMO, the way it currently runs isn't good, and it can be a headache for those who want loot and those who want to clear content, since some people want 2 chest and some don't care much about the drops. I mostly think that the part where number of chest drops being affected by number of people cleared should be removed completely from the Savage Weekly loot drops. What do you think?

    I dont' completely get it. So you mean people should get 2 chests always, regardless on who cleared? or no chests? or 2 chests, except for the ones who cleared?

    Problems:
    -2 chests always - It would kill the raid because people would get the gear by just farming that floor.
    -No chests - No motivation to run with people that cleared. Making the filling the spots task a bit harder.
    -2 chests for everyone except the ones who cleared. That would mean 2 chests for 7, 3 or 2 people. It's unfair because they would get higher chances of getting loot.

    So I personally think the system is fine as it is.

    If removed completely, you will get more carry or sale parties since seven veterans can just muscle through V1-3 for a mutual friend. I do, however, think the restrictions should be more lenient.

    1-2 players previously cleared that week will not affect chest drops
    3-5 players previously cleared that week will result in a single chest
    6-8 players previously cleared that week will result in no chests

    This allows a friend or two to help without robbing the static of loot. Yes, it will encourage sales to some extent, but those will happen regardless. In the long run, I feel this change will help more people clear than those those willing to buy clears.

    If anything they can lower the amount of books needed on an odd patch on the earlier turns if there needs to be a change (So maybe for the 1st and 2nd, get the amount of books needed to get something cut in half, leave 3 and 4 as is) since the books are not affected by number of cleared players. Makes it a bit more rewarding since people can get the coin and get the 340 gear from the 24 man anyways.

    I feel that the only book requirements needing adjusting is the first floor. There's so much in the loot pool that it's difficult to get all the accessories+belt you need. There are 7 belts, and 5 of each earrings/ring/bracelet/necklace. For example you BiS is all from raid, you would need 22 weeks to get them all if you had abysmal RNG on drops. If you changed jobs, say RDM to MCH, like some speedrunners do, well... good luck getting accessories.

    Aside from adjusting book requirements, they could also add another way to get max ilvl accessories. They can add it to the 24-man raid like they did in Dun Scaith previously. Or maybe if a primals dropped ilvl 330 (and equivalent for later patches) similar to Lakshimi. At least then you could upgrade your accessories a bit without spending tomestones on non-BiS pieces.

    If you didn't get a single accessory or belt for your Job out of the 27 possible items in 44 chests (22 weeks), then you're one of the unluckiest people ever born.

    Assuming every item has an equal drop rate (about 3.70370...%), you're looking at a 0.01233% chance of not getting a single item for your Job after 44 chests.

    Personally I'd rather I could run fights more often in pugs. If people wanna sell clears for gear or whatever it doesn't affect me, as someone who wants to do the fights, so if they could either reduce the chest penalty or remove it I'd be happy. Personally I kinda wish they'd just halve the page cost of drops because waiting 8 weeks for a piece to drop sucks, but that's just me.

    Don't take people with you who have already cleared it within the ID when you want 2 chests?

    In earlier days you couldn't reenter at all when you had an kill ID on a turn.

    The current system made it possible to help friends, even if you have cleared it already.

    I have helped many times groups of friends as they are happy to get at least the book than not clearing it at all a week.

    To entirely solve the issue of differences between the ones that cleared first and the ones that cleared later, without penalizing anyone, all they need to do is make individual chest rewards. After clearing, there's an X% chance that the player will get some gear, if they didn't clear yet.

    In reality, this "hated" mechanic of not necessarily getting loot is what we already have, except for the fact that there is a gear that goes to SOMEONE. But it's still ultimately RNG on whether you get it. To make players feel better, have the chest always appear, let the player roll on it, but instead of rolling against other players, it would be rolling against the "computer".

    There, problem solved. Whether you are in a party filled with people that cleared, or right after reset with everyone still having to clear, you have the exact same chances of getting the loot.

    Imo they should make the tokens downgradeable. The higher the token the sooner they're useless, because there are no (interesting) drops left.
    O3s has only pants to buy, O4s has weapons/body, but there are 3 drops and one of those is the coffer (nobody should need to buy a weapon from Tokens, only bodies).

    A RDM needs 16 tokens of O1s, 12 tokens of O2s, 8 tokens of O3s and 8 tokens of O4s for BiS. That's annoying.

    Also they should remove the lockout at least one month before the next raid tier and make it farmable for 3-4 weeks, like before the expansion hit with Alexander.
    Not right at the odd patch, but at some point.
