I think the loot lock should remain, although I do think chests should be increased to 3. They should also change it so items in the chest correspond to the roles in the party.

I'd love if this was an option. I have way more o3s books than I know what to do with, especially now that I can get twine every week from 24-man raid.Imo they should make the tokens downgradeable. The higher the token the sooner they're useless, because there are no (interesting) drops left.
O3s has only pants to buy, O4s has weapons/body, but there are 3 drops and one of those is the coffer (nobody should need to buy a weapon from Tokens, only bodies).
Hello again, Eorzeans.
We appreciate your continued feedback on the subject of unlocking the variances in appearance of the Hempen set across all races.
It looks like an overwhelming majority of you are very interested in this! As such, we have forwarded this feedback to the development team. In response, they would like to let you know that they are considering this for a future update!

How about the OP make their party finder that lock out who has completed for the week, that is now possible as of 4.1. It's really your fault for accepting less than 2 chest.
Two-chest on monday party is such a meme this tier, a lot of new people to savage when this SAME loot system has been in-place for two years.
They should move belts to the third fight (so it drops one pants and one belt), or move belts to 2 and helms to 3 or something. And cut all the datalog prices in half imo, especially if they don't want to change chest penalties. People might be more content with books if they were worth more.
And besides, 8+ weeks to gear up one job feels like a bit much, if they're going to have Ultimate being a thing the next patch and setting a 'deadline' for BiS. I think ideally you'd want folk to be able to have two jobs geared by then, so that they have at least some kind of choice in what they play, but at the moment that takes a fair amount of luck at best.

Frankly, right now I feel like I never get any good at end-game raids simply because I PUG them, and with the current system, I'm not allowed just joining parties for fun or to clear because they're all seeking 2 chests.
I'm not even sure why raid selling is an issue. If people want to spend money on a trust trade, then that's their own stupidity. Also, bonus versus no bonus has never really been that great an indicator of if people know the fight or if they will work together. That's why we have the "I thought this was a farm party" macro...

So, for any group with less than 8 people getting their first weekly clear, they should click on the 2 chests and (let's say 1 person bought a clear from 7 vets) there's a 1/8 chance they get a random item from each chest, and 7/8 chance they get nothing? I can see that being perfectly fair, but worth the dev time..I'm not so sure. Manifestos were introduced specifically to combat RNG and keep carries balanced for the 6 months the weekly loot restrictions even last. I think most people would not be open to having even more RNG added to the loot formulaTo entirely solve the issue of differences between the ones that cleared first and the ones that cleared later, without penalizing anyone, all they need to do is make individual chest rewards. After clearing, there's an X% chance that the player will get some gear, if they didn't clear yet.
In reality, this "hated" mechanic of not necessarily getting loot is what we already have, except for the fact that there is a gear that goes to SOMEONE. But it's still ultimately RNG on whether you get it. To make players feel better, have the chest always appear, let the player roll on it, but instead of rolling against other players, it would be rolling against the "computer".
There, problem solved. Whether you are in a party filled with people that cleared, or right after reset with everyone still having to clear, you have the exact same chances of getting the loot.
