    Would be interesting if they added an extra effect to piety, call it something like devoted cure, it would basically be direct hit but for healing, the higher your piety the higher the chance for it to proc. Since direct hit doesn't effect heals it would be cool to have a similar effect for healing linked to the healer specific stat.

    Refresh is main reason why piety is useless stat. Before it was dps loss sing mana song unlike current mana regen buff not hurt anybody.

    As long as you're okay with the small amount it will probably give, maybe they should try it. In the end it wouldn't make much difference either way.

    I just took notice of exactly how influential Piety is, and I am honestly not amused. Piety is near-worthless entirely. Collectively it seems alright but individually... For example:

    Lv70 White Mage has a base Piety of 292 and thus a base max MP of 14880. When Piety is raised to 1310 though max MP becomes 18370. Seems like a lot right? Well, it really isn't. To wit: Remove say 103 Piety from that and you lose a mere 353 MP.

    So in short yes Piety definitely needs a buff to be more worth actually investing in like Direct Hit Rate and Tenacity are. At the very least increase how much MP it offers...

    It does. MP regen is a percentage of your max MP.

    Natural MP regen, yes, approximately 2% per tick. So over the course of a 10 minute fight, an extra 100 MP equates to 100 MP (base MP bonus) + an extra 400 MP from regen, assuming no overflow. I do not believe that Lucid Dreaming or other refresh effects are dependent on max MP, though, which is an interaction I'd actually like to see.

    Refresh effects don't, no. Assize and Aetherflow do.

    Piety's biggest issue right now is that running out of MP just doesn't happen that often unless you need to raise a lot of people. If you have enough MP, more MP isn't doing anything.

    If you're MP limited that much in dungeons, it's almost certainly because of your offensive spells. In which case, stats that boost your damage are going to be more useful than the tiny boost in MP you can get from piety.
