Tackle box needed for bait

How many different baits and lures do you use in a month? As for the ones you want to keep just in case, that's what retainers are for.

All of them. When finding a new fishing spot or even more so when hunting for rare big fish, you want to have them all on you. Given the weather requirements for some, I'd very much like to have them all on me all the time so at not to miss an opportunity when I'm in the right place, at the right time with the right weather. It's ridiculous to have to carry several bags worth of baits and/or taking precious retainer space when not using them. I'd rather save my retainer space for craft materials and nice looking gear for all the classes (since the armoire is pretty useless given its restricted item list).

Don't say it's not a necessary feature just because you don't see the point or your gamestyle doesn't require it. Clearly many people would find it useful.

Why are you hoarding ARR/HW bait when none of them work in SB zones, which is most likely where new fish will be added? That's not even touching the fact that all non-lure fishing bait from ARR can be bought for less than 1k Gil per inventory slot.

Is it really that hard to just buy older bait for when you need it instead of forcibly making your inventory smaller by holding Sixty-two stacks of different fishing bait?

The game isn't forcing you to carry around "several bags worth" of bait, you are.

Been a while but yeah, when you're looking for those oddly rare fishes that require weather and time conditions (not everyone has been playing since ARR so some folks might still want to get their old fishing logs complete), sometimes you don't have time to waste to go buy stuff. And people can say "but you can prepare in advance" and yadda yadda yadda but I still think the way fisher is handled is not great. I've seen they've added some more generic baits which already helps, but I'm not sure they work for the rare fishes. Can anyone confirm they do?
