Roulettes 50/60, Leveling and Main Scenario. Three times today I used Hallowed Ground, the ability went on CD but I still died.
This usually doesn't happen but seems I had major lag spikes or packet loss.

"BAAAAAARD!" - 2018
I preface this by saying that this happened about a week ago.
Anyway I was running Ala Mhigo to cap creation (and hopefully the mount) and I ended up with 2 rdms and a whm. One of the rdms (who also had the RP flag on) was wearing a mix of HQ and level 60's gear. LEVEL 60's GEAR.....including shire.....he couldn't even bother to augment it. And of course, not a single piece was melded. The other rdm at least had his verity gear.
The healer...well the healer had a 70 whm, 70 sch, and an ast in the 50's with a few dps 70's as well. But....they were still in artifact and dungeon gear. (WHAT?!)
I figure I start slow and pull a single group to see how we do and noticed that the healer is doing 0 dps (standing around when they don't need to heal). I decide to start double pulling since the healer isn't dps'ing at all and I am doing about 10% more dps than the RP rdm without dropping tank stance. I cry a bit inside at this point because I know this is going to be a slow and painful run. On the first boss, the RP rdm died about 3 times to mechanics and the other rdm and I that are pretty much doing all the dps. On the second boss, the RP rdm only dies twice so he's getting better. After the second boss, i just pull one group at a time and things are not dying (other than the RP rdm) so as we slowly get closer to the final boss, I decide that since the healer isn't having that difficult of a time healing a single group, lets try two again. Big mistake, the healer couldn't keep up with the heals and of course I die and we wipe.
The RP rdm then goes "Misstique, we can't handle all of Eorzea! slow down!" lol.....he kept in character. So I respond that it was just 2 groups it should have been easy (I was clearly irritated at this point.) His response? " yeah but you died" ARE YOU F'ING KIDDING ME?!?! And of course the other rdm responds by saying "yeah, you need to slow down" Pulling one group at a time wasn't slow enough for you?
At this point, I can't take it anymore, I just drop out of the instance and do something else.

So I recently got a friend into the game, he quickly got to level 50 because he wanted to do all the big boy stuff like extreme trials and Coil, I told him we wouldn't find a group nowadays but he insisted on it anyway.
Ok no problem, we go with DF for most of First Coil and it actually doesn't go too badly (excluding a few wipes on T2 but ya know, that's to be expected), until we get to Turn 5 of course.
We start out and the SAM says right away "hey first time, I appreciate if you tell me what to do" followed by like 3 or 4 "same!"... great, they hadn't even watched a guide...
Ok so I start explaining the whole thing in exquisite detail, what ever mechanic does and how to deal with it, everyone seemed to understand it well enough so I decide to pull the boss and of course we wipe to divebombs. I explain how to deal with divebombs and only divebombs this time (it was probably too much information for some of them on the first pull)

Then on the second pull we don't even get to divebombs, we wipe because the WHM decided it was a good idea to stay at A during the entire fight, meaning we couldn't stack with him if he had the red marker.
At this point two DPS leave, probably just some poor sods doing their mentor roulette and I don't blame them.
Since it's i80 content and we're clearly overgeared with no DPS showing up anytime soon I decide to pull with just 6 people, it doesn't go too bad, we manage to do divebombs well enough even though the WHM I talked about died to them again, then we wipe during the adds because no one went back to the A marker even though I spammed in the chat for like 2 minutes yay.

After a few more wipes the RDM chimes in "I've been trying to clear this fight for 3 years but I've never been able to manage because I'm a solo player and I always get groups like this" wow, nice one dude...
So we pull again, this time we do everything perfectly only the WHM dies to divebombs again but he gets rezzed and we do the second set of divebombs well enough.
We get to the Neurolinks and then who else but Mr. 3-years-trying-to-clear goes into my Neurolink, even though we were all spamming chat for him to go to the other one to not get cleaved, even the WHM. Not only does he get out at the last minute (meaning he wasn't even protected by Neurolink) he then GOES BACK INTO MINE and dies, predictably.
After that we all die to Twister. My friend, as a true LoL player, flames the RDM and leaves since it was getting late, after that we disbanded.
Sorry for the rant but yeah I needed to vent about this lmao
You DF'd the first Coil? I'm surprised you got the queue to pop in a first place. But that being said, it makes it clear how you all got sync'd to level 50 making things way harder for everyone. I also find kinda disrespectful how people jump into end-game content without any preparation at all, specially fights like T5. You can explain everything, but they should also be aware of the visual cues. I don't think that watching a video would hurt anyone to be honest...
I just got out of tanking a Sirensong Sea that featured a BLM. Spamming Blizzard IV. On double pulls.
Fun fact: I was the only non-mentor in the run.
Hmm, i don't have an issue with it. If it's the first time doing that content, experiencing the fight for yourself is what makes it fun. Reading a guide, before going in spoils that fun.You DF'd the first Coil? I'm surprised you got the queue to pop in a first place. Rabanstre raid, 2 am on a Monday morning. My party cannot do mechs, my co healer is drunk and just drops regens and is dead most of the most of the fight. Literally runs around doing nothing and is never at A during important moments. I solo heal the whole raid only dying once (unless it was a wipe cuz sweet Jesus did that happen a lot) due to some other person near me stepping on the blue trap near us and I forgot take esuna as a role. Worse, we can't use markers bc there is an actual troll in the party removing the letters every time we try to place them down. Situations like this one remind me why i stopped maining sch.
