How do i not lose items as i get a new apartment?

You cannot save anything that's destroyed on pick-up when moving apartments. You have to empty out the apartment and storage beforehand. It's either get a new apartment and sacrifice the explodables, or stay and keep all the goods that'll disappear.

Can a player buy 2 apartments?

I only have 1 so far so I am not sure if you can just buy an additional apartment since players seems to be able to get more than 1 house.

you can actually only own 1 of each type of housing per character. eg 1 FC HQ 1 private chamber 1 personal house and 1 apartment. in order to get more housing then that (which honestly is more than a person needs as is) you need to acquire them on an alt. so no i cannot just get another apartment. i could however try and get a personal house. i don’t have one atm cause i only need 1 room for my crafting zen haven and didn’t feel the need to be greedy and take a whole house and plot to have 1 room worth of stuff but if devs are gonna be discriminatory to apartment holders and favor plot holders maybe i ought to reconsider buying a personal house. cause you know creating reasons for MORE people to try and get a resource that is ALREADY so thin people are raging about not having it is TOTALLY what devs should be doing in this situation [see the sarcasm there?] seriously-they should be doing the EXACT opposite and be FAVORING apartments in order to stimulate growth in unlimited plot types.

Just be aware that the storage is tied directly to each individual type of housing you have (house -> house storage, apartment -> apartment storage, etc) so the items you're trying to move over would still be stuck in the apartment.

No, you cannot. You can only occupy one apartment per character.
