I'm in EST and hardly notice a difference post-change. Unnecessary for US East Coast.
(Though some of my friends outside the US that are quite a bit further away do have some latency issues, but they always have).

I notice the difference because my ISP makes incredibly stupid jumps trying to reach the server so what went from 60-70 ping is now 100-120 ping and spikes to 200-250 ping late at night.



I'm in Georgia here on east coast and have a 60-70 ping.
So perhaps it's your ISP
