Tbh I think the title is (accidentally) misleading people, I think people are believing you mean tactics like gameplay with all the turn based grid stuff. But at least when I read it you were more like "giant roster, lots of jobs, levels, classic ff growth, I can send them out on missions and I can lead them".

    Or what ValentineSnow said lol.

More members sounds nice though. Is starting to sound a lot like Garrison (WoW), minus having a customizable area (housing like place). Not a problem (not like WoW "did it first"), just suggesting people may start to draw parallels (and compare features).

I wish there was more of a storyline and progression behind it. They all seem to be interesting characters that they took the time to make unique looks for, I wish they’d more with it.

Lords of Vermilion is apparently a fairly popular franchise in Japan and I believe is published by SE.

Kinda not hard to see the reasoning a Japanese company and dev team would then use to arrive at something like Lords of Verminion.

because a capacity increase would dilute an already thin system.

i want the opposite, i want each squad member to be more important not less.

It was a little more in depth than ventures, you’d go to the pub and ask about missions (in this case your squad commander). He’d have a list of missions that would be randomised every day. The missions would give a brief background on the mission, kind of like the squadron missions do, and they required a specific job and level and would give specific rewards.

    So as an example:
    Mission- Mage tourney.
Description- the Thaumaturges guild has teamed up with the gladiators guild to host a tournament to find the greatest mage in all the grand companies.
Requirements- 250 GC seals, any disciple of magic level 50+.
    Time- 10 (game)days.
Reward- 1000 GC seals, ???(this would be a random reward similar to quick exploration ventures), squad member exp, Mage’s Trophy(special item).

If you beat the mission you get the rewards, if you fail you only get partial squad member exp.

Then there would be missions that sometimes require special items from previous missions like the mages trophy and these would offer special rewards, which here could be mounts, minions or glamours.

    1. don't expect the squadrons to have jobs the players don't have
    2. sending them out to mission is how we level them up until lv 50 already. Sometimes they also bring nice stuff like Gatherer Scripts or MGS points.
    3. turn based grid battle-system would not work in the dungeons.
