    The fact of the matter is that if you are off the cracks on your screen, you should not get hit at all by eruptions. As much as I love the Ifrit fight I do think that the OP is right and the devs should try to avoid or at the very least downplay these kinds of moves and instead make challenges that can work within the current limitations of the servers. If they can find some way to make the client-side position register on the current servers it would be awesome because I'd like to see more of this style of battle.

    Once 2.0 rolls around and the lag/animation lock is gone though, they better make these explosions way faster

    Those people in the PUGs you do already have an LS for that? Why are they in a PUG if they already have an LS?

    Pantone, like i have said before. I am not vehemently opposed to traps and danger zones. They can add all kinds of depth and danger to encounters. I just think it would be for the best if they take the systemic issues that we are all facing into consideration when there potency and frequency is decided in the future. That's why i made this thread.

    And I think they will take it under consideration in the future. Especially in 2.0...I thought I read something about them switching up server structure?

    Just consider for a second that the potency/frequency of Eruption was diminished, wouldn't it become less challenging? I really think the Ifrit battle is great way to convey to players how well they can take down one common enemy but depend on themselves. I have never fought in a MMO battle where that kind of challenge was presented to me (outside of low-manning). But yea, I have fought in countless fights where there is a tank..and some DD poke the mob and the mages support...

    I guess threads like this make me nervous is all.. I don't want the Dev team to get the wrong impression from the player base and then sacrifice their creativity just to cater to the noisy group. You are a sensible guy, I don't mean to hurt you specifically by that statement either. Just in the future I would love to take part in more interesting challenges like this one and by no means want to limit the Dev's imagination.

    Every time I see people say/post they cannot win because of their 'lag' I am reminded of this one individual in the LS I'm in. When he started joining us for Ifrit he would continuously die of cracks and kept blaming his lag. But then over time (probably took him 20 or so fights, lol) he was dodging everything like a ninja! So in my experience, this issue feels more like an excuse from the player rather than a game flaw.

    Well, after reading some post i see a big problem with latency, i have sometimes that issue. But i dont agree on simplifying those fights, while it may help with latency will lower the quality on content and obviously lower the difficulty, i liked the new route they took since dazmael darkhold, i dont like the stationary fights where you only move the mob once to a certain position and after that full attack.

    I prefer fights where you need to be moving or having to do certain tactics in order to win, like the moogle fight i imagine that one as a full party of moogles that you need to see wich moogle will be killed first, maybe having a 2nd tank to lower the damage or maybe killing adds to lower moogle defenses, etc.
