    This forum is not helpful at all.

    While I appreciate all the replies, there is no one simply suggesting any positive solution, instead all I can hear is cold and negative comments.

    This is a bug report forum. I am not coming here to be told to deal with my consequences.

    My point here

    1. Where and when was such critical information passing on to players? Surely someone would reply with "do you own search before start" but this is not the way the game is supposed to be. From my understanding, a warning message should be added on if the cancel button is clicked, just like you get a pop up message when discarding unique items from your inventory or armor chest. I have never seen any warning or education message about this since start playing in this game.

    2. Why mats cannot be returned with 0 progress and 0 quality? Taking an example, you go back to Apple with boxed iPhone 8 and ask for a refund, and you are told you cannot because you already touched it, does that make any sense?

    3. Why the event tab doesn't show the Step 2 which were claimed as crafting actions by previous replies? Again the screen shot does not show any crafting actions in between the start and end of synthesis, The system should be no crafting actions+0 progress+0quality=no synthesis=mats return

    2. If you could do preparations without any risk of losing your materials, people would abuse that by simply restarting the crafting until all random factors played out in their favor, increasing success chance significantly at 0 risk.

    3. In the crafting window, it tells you what step you are currently on. The step counter goes up every time you use a skill, no matter what skill it is. Anything from a simple Inner Quiet to a mighty Byregot's Blessing counts as a step.


    And as others have said: This is the "bug report" forum, not the "game doesn't work the way I thought it did" forum. Bugs are stuff like getting stuck in terrain, skills with unintended behaviour, graphical glitches, and other such things. Do not assume that certain features work certain ways unless the game makes it clear they work that way.
