Hey where did that butt slider thread go?

Hey where did that butt slider thread go?
says alot about the people here that immediately see a child race request and there mind immediately goes to pediphilia instead of ykno, normal child things that could be considered cute
Just btw, if you accept a lalafell but dont accept a child like race, its hypocrisy.
Despite what you label a lalafells age, it is infact, a race designed to look like a cute small being, IE a child. and ive seen some pretty plump fat children irl that could very well pass for a lalafell

Actual Lalafell children in game use the same models as the adults. My guess is they must grow pretty fast after they're born.says alot about the people here that immediately see a child race request and there mind immediately goes to pediphilia instead of ykno, normal child things that could be considered cute

That said, an argument can be made that the Lalafell merely look young biologically. Playing as actual Children not only holds a slew of shady connotations, but one has to ponder how that would play out in the narrative as well. Children in the Adventurer's Guild? Children fighting wars? Fighting dragons? Naturally the Warrior of Light is an exception but let's be honest here, suspension of disbelief only goes so far. I mean, lorewise we know Kan-E-Senna uses magic to make herself look older than she is just because she knows she wouldn't be taken seriously by the other leaders in the Eorzean Alliance due to her true appearance being that like other Padjal: child-like. If Kan-E-Senna has to fake her body's physical age to get some respect, it really wouldn't make sense for the Warrior of Light to be a child and taken seriously either.
Yeah, lots of games have child protagonists. The difference isn't kids shouldn't be fighters since obviously this isn't true in tons of video games. The difference is that those games are non-social and offline games. This game is online, social, and most people are pretty anonymous. So, there are too many possibilities for abuse. You say that, but there's ben prenty of kids on the battle field.. just look at many anime and stuff. No I agree you on no kids being playable.. but your reason isn't good enough when games like sonic who is 16 runs around with a boy who is 8 who stop a mad doc. from blowing up the planet everyday of their lives. Kids don't need to be playable in this game cause people are perverts, not because the story is too dark. There are prenty of dark stories where the hero of the story is some teen or younger. So the story isn't an excuse.. that's all I'm saying.
And I was specifically talking about this game. The way everything has been set-up and the stories are told, having a 9-10 year old running around as the warrior of light, slaying Primals, fighting armies, liberating countries, would feel really out of place.

Oh yeah I fully agree with you. I'm just saying the reasoning that " kids aren't heroes" isn't a good reason. The REAL reason is people online are pervs. THAT is why we shouldn't have kid heroesYeah, lots of games have child protagonists.
