Should SE sell Gil (similar to WOW Tokens)

What about the people who don't have a lot of money who have millions of gil and would love to spend some of it for game time? Stop thinking about who would sell tokens and start thinking about who would buy them.

It doesnt work that way.
Sure, those players most likely do exist, hell I can name one category of player that would probably love the addition of tokens (hardcore crafters/gatherers), but this is gonna grow into the ranks of people who dont want it either, as the market sees fluctations resulting from a MUCH higher quantity of gil being in circulation, and more people clamouring for it to pay their subscription.

Lord knows there's already alot of people out there taking issue with how the MB system works. But imagine if every. single. item, could now have its price crashed, and maintained on crash, in mere moments (due to more people clamouring for a sale). Or it doubles, or triples, because now there's more people out there that both can and will pay outrageous sums for X item, because there's a quick and easy way to get back on track (just sell a few tokens). Which again pushes those with poor impulse control into buying and selling tokens because it's the most reliable way to keep up with a rampant market

I personally resent the idea that the need to farm gil means people would be doing content, as it's wholely impossible to prove, just as my statement that people wont just do any content, but rather the one that offers the quickest and most reliable payout. What is however proven is you're gonna be willingly fudging with SE's numbers for actuall paying subscribers, and I can imagine it's a hard no no especially with how tight of a budget SE's already running FF14 on.

And frankly, I dont see why we should be appeasing players who hoarded gil, for the sake of hoarding it
