Wouldn't their own videos reflect that then? On their YouTube channel, the videos for patch 4.1 showcase the ratings for each language; Japanese is unrated, US uses ESRB T, and all European locations uses PEGI 16, including the video for German players. IJS, if it's really rated for 12 of age and up, you'd think it'd be reflected there.

I'm surprised that there are a decent amount of mentors are going through so much hassle to see the NN staying on course. I commend you, and feel bad for you. I entered the Novice network for about a week and it was honestly just too nuts. I keep my Mentor flag up but left the NN and in my search info include that I can help you if you need it.

First of all, I owe you an apology because I meant to quote Aoreka and not you. But I was on mobile and it was late at night, so apparently I confused both persons. Hers was the comment I found rude in excess.

Second, if you're gonna quote just a few of my comments to make your point, fine. There are others that do sustain my position on this. Including my first one.

To Aoreka, I was merely saying that if GMs are not authorized to disclose any information regarding to report cases, I don't see why you should. And just because you (just an example, not saying you in particular) share nudes privately does not mean that they are safe from the public eye (yes, you're going to argue that nudes and in game screenshots are different, I'm aware and that's not my point). But again, if the OP get harassed over this or any other behavior, it can be reported. I'm not here to judge if he deserves this or not. If you feel this person shouldn't participate in the NN feel free to raise a report in game about this.

Kicking someone is a hostile way to make a point. However if you've already made it clear that you oppose whoever's attitude in game, feel free to kick and report them. Not make it a kick war since that way people will feel like victims.
Still the answer the GM gave is shocking to me. But I'll just refrain from engaging in the NN, and just go about my day.

Yah that is what the TC does, most of the time it is because of what I said earlier:

I disagree you EVER seen anything like this, Eve kicks people on a massive scale for little to no reason and upsets 90% of the NN doing so, and this case they have in the TC is no different. People want them to stop the excessive kicking done on a daily biases.

The kick feature is there more for people who are spamming or are spoiling the story for new players or if they are saying something really extreme.

The problem is the OP has made it their personal mission to take any type of fun out of the chat and will just log in and boot a bunch of people for often invalid reasons and then take it to a GM who have probably dealt with this individual a number of times and they finally decided to give an answer to try and get them stop doing it for minor things.

The only problems in our NN are caused almost exclusively by one person abusing the kick option and the rest of the time its just fun chat and answering any questions that come up.

Balmungs NN for the most part, is fine.. the 5?? cases I had with people though it, the GMs took the calls fine, and did not reply to me like they did to the TC. As others pointed out, I am sure the GMs know the TC by now and was basically saying stop making mountains out of molehills and kicking people for small reasons. If the TC gets so easily offended, the blacklist is there for that. Kicking people should be reserved for spam and harassment.

We are not supporting ERP or harassment in the NN, the situation the TC made this thread was based on kicking someone for making an innuendo. It was a small joke on a comment of being destroyed something, it was not .... a big thing... till eve made it a big thing, started drama with the NN, and when people disagreed with Eve, eve kicked those they where not happy with, so someone kicked eve so they couldn't keep abusing the kick in that moment.

No one is saying we shouldn't kick people that make the NN an unfriendly place, everyone on balmung wants Eve to stop the excessive kicking.

Has there ever been confirmed accounts of that happening? I seen rumors floating around they have don that to other people. I doono if it is true or not, or something someone made up to fear monger to have Eve in stop it.

I can't say for certain myself, never seen it or heard it happen to anybody, but I'm just suggesting since it sounds like the easier solution Balmung's Novice network problem.

I did say something similar happened on my server. It really did, even if you say it's not true, you can't change facts.
Also, as I've seen from other posts, you extract whatever you want from other people's comments, and only read what you want to read.

Why are we trying so hard to mollycoddle new players and protect them from "bad words" anyway? You're treating them like small children when in reality the majority of them probably have a potty mouth and minds dirtier than the Exxon Valdez. There's a lot more to this picture than what's being told. I have reported players for obscenities in channels. For reference I'm talking racial slurs and other derogatory speech about specific groups of people. If they're talking about sexual things like various anatomy being inserted into various other anatomy and so on and so forth. Considering a good portion of FFXIV is probably people in their later teens and early twenties when humans are a little more hormonal. That isn't anything punishable.

Now if it was derogatory or racial you should have quoted that to the GM or be more direct about the nature of the obscenities being spoken.

Until these questions are further laid out, the GM did his job to a T.

The ToS are purely subjective and every GM will interpret and enforce them differently.
This GM has decided to let it slide.
Other GMs will suspend you for dropping an f-bomb in party chat.
It's all part of the horrible customer service that SE provides alongside their products.
