Player opinion request: When do you think they will re-open transfers to Omega/why?

Yeah Auryom, there is a large portion of players who not only are happy to accept anything unfair from the development team but will also pipe up to shut down any complaints within the community. I like to think of them as collaborators.

But in all seriousness, I'm sick to death of clicking on the 'status of preferred/congested worlds......', scrolling down and seeing that god damned message. I think the bottom line is, they're busy and it's not on their priority list. I honestly think they're not against unlocking it but they're just doing other things. But they're like those chefs who refuse to go out and talk to the customers when there is something wrong with the dish. It seems so strange, because as far as software developers go, there are seriously user-focused. I mean, they really listen to us when it comes to desired features and I really feel like they are putting themselves in our shoes and thinking about what we want from the game. EXCEPT for the god..damned..transfers..

I've been waiting for some time now for the server to open up for transfer, and it's been extremely frustrating. It more or less made me leave the game for quite some time to play other MMO's, since the interest in FFXIV faded when I couldn't take part in my friend's roleplay.

I though it would open up after the 90 day lockout for people who transferred there the first day, but it didn't. I then thought it would open up before or around 4.1 but it hasn't.

I'm not sure why they keep it closed for transfer still, but it's taking its toll for me.

I doubt they have a legitimate reason, probably just forgot about it because it's not a pressing issue, atleast not for alot of players.

I've seen people trying to bring the issue up on twitter whenever SE posts something there but it's always ignored, dunno how to get in contact with them about it.

Might be worth a shot to see if you can get people you know who are concerned on this issue too to reply to this thread.

I don't have any experience with SE with these kind of issues, if that's what you want to call it.

The only experience I have, however, is that official forums are sadly ignored most of the time (especially EU located ones) so I never keep my hopes up when people want to make their voice heard. Reddit seems to always be the better choice to make matters heard, or get attention at least.

But I don't mind trying to get this thread a hot topic, but it loses its "fire" so to speak, if there's only 3 players posting back and forth with each other, than having many different players—both from, and off the server—bringing this topic up.

People on reddit want to get Gilgamesh opened up for transfers because they feel the server has become "stagnant" and Gilga is a much larger server than Omega :I so yeah maybe reddit is a better place to try and get our voices heard.

I still have friends waiting to transfer too... though at this point, I think they may have given up on coming back to the game.

It's not guaranteed to succeed, and I'm certain that even mentioning roleplay would be a death sentence for the thread in terms of downvotes. I suppose waiting one more side patch won't hurt, but if it won't even open up by then, I'll make a thread about it on Reddit. If no one makes it before me.
