Does SE not understand why people don't like the Goblet?

Man I wish it looked like that in-game. The Brimming Heart was passable, but the outside sections are extremely depressing. It's not an oasis (natural or manmade), it's just random planters plopped everywhere, with houses that have nothing remarkable about them scattered around awkwardly. I want to love Goblet because I love Ul'dah and deserts over everything else, but it's all just so ugly - the houses, the views if you don't get one of the few plots around the Heart, etc. The Brimming Heart is prettier now, but as OP says...they didn't do anything about the other 70% of the zone that was awful to begin with.

Goblet itself wouldn't even need a revamp to make it way better, just plop it in a different spot with a better view like the concept art depicts. :\

Truth be told, I always considered it more of a luxury club than natural oasis simply because: It's an island on top of a large cliff.

The vegetation is however quite lacking indeed.

(I'll say, though, that none of the Districts quite live up to their gorgeous concept art, in no small part due to the way people decorate their houses >_>)

I love the new goblet look, the swimming area is right below my house too from before 4.1 so didn't even move to Shiro.

I think you may be one of the few who like the old goblet, majority of the people I know dislike it, but now they love it because of the pool.

I got my own waterfall and now steps straight into the pool area.. Oh yeah.. stylin.

The middle area has always been the jewel, they just need to do some adjusting to the outside areas that can't even see the pool.

From the concept art, is there supposed to be a small villa area across one of the bridge with a fountain in the middle? That would have been great!

I mean, most people I know hated the goblet. It was always the last to ever fill up, only because people were desperate for a house, and it was better than nothing. After the pool being added, a lot more people like it and actually WANT to live there. I've even debated on moving my apartment there.

Good lord, I forgot about the concept art until you brought it up. Now that is what I'd call an oasis. Goblet has too little greenery for my taste.

My FC is there. The only plots worthwhile are the few around the pool/fountain, otherwise, same ugly place.
