Big panda is an awesome bear!

Emissary quests are general, not tribe specific quests which give reputation to any tribe of your choosing. But, as it's extremelly quickly to max tribe reputation in FFXIV, and there aren't many tribes (WoW has over 180 I think) so that model will not work here as you'll probably have only 1 new tribe unmaxed at any time unless you are fresh player. WoW can do these new things because it just has so much content to work with.

You could also just...not do them if you don't care for their existence, OP. There's nothing wrong with them and people do enjoy doing the daily quests. They are completely optional.

I don't know how you think WoW did away with dailies and then mention World Quests in the same breath. If you really think they're different, I have a rock spray painted gold that I want to sell you.
About their only redeeming factor is the fact that they're randomized every few hours, but sooner or later you'll have done them all multiple times... and the rewards they give are rarely worth the effort after you reach a mid-point in even the most casual of character progression. Which is also an important difference between WQs and Beast Tribe quests: WQs are specifically made for early character progression and Beast Tribes are merely side content.
I personally like the Beast Tribe quests because they tell a story. Even the most mundane of tasks they send you to complete has a nice narrative behind it.
Each World Quest (read: daily quest) has a faction tied to it. Every day you're given an Emissary that asks you to do 3-4 WQs tied to a specific faction (usually broken up by zone, but not always) and for doing so you get extra reputation and a loot box that may contain something useful. They also recently added an additional lootbox you receive for every 10k rep you earn over that faction's cap that might contain rare minions or mounts, but that's independent from the Emissary.
With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.

Emissary quests is how you "choose" to do your FATEs,i mean world quests in wow for that given day before engaging in the hardest content in wow....beating the "should i just stare at this map till i give up and log or go do more Fat....errr world quests?" In my case the map eventually won, permanently >.> WoW daily quest related, the issue in MoP wasn't that they were "the same" style of daily quests, it was that they were shoved down your throat at 3+ hours of them worth a day.
As a story mechanism, they were just as enjoyable as they are in ff 14 and by the "end" of MoP they had em at a nice "pace". Hell the bug ppl dailies and their quests were incredibly good at shining light on the whole Sha threat. The real reason they didn't make it into WoD is because they copped out, that whole xpac was a cop out. You can tell the apexis dailies were never meant to be stand alone, they were a second layer to the daily quest system. Legion FATEs are on their own not as bad as apexis dailies (you would have to try incredibly hard to be worse than that) but i had done FATEs to death by then.

I don't get it. What's the complaint here? That it even exists at all? Sounds pretty damn petty on that end if that's where you are with your boredom and need for complaining. You really need a better hobby or perhaps... learn to not do things you don't like... that might help you in and out of the game.
Hmm. Have you really ever payed attention to or even played the world quests in WoW? They are the same quests over and over again. This is a really outdated system from previous mmorpgs and has no place in today's generation of games. Even WoW (a 13 year old mmo) does not use this nowadays because they understand that this feature has become really outdated. Doing the same quests everyday again and again is not fun. Everyday I visit the beast tribes quest givers and its the same quests all the time. SE needs to replace this with something like the emissary system from WoW or implement their own ideas to make something original.
I don't know why but the more I play FFXIV the more I am reminded of WotLK era WoW and this is NOT a good thing. Whatever happened to originality in games nowadays?
The emissary system? You do realize the only thing the emissary system is is Blizzard telling you to do this groups dailies today for your reward right? That'd be the same as SE saying ok, today your bonus comes from the kobolds, hop to it. Why is it so hard to make the choice yourself?
As far as being reminded about WoWs WotLK era, you know that's the last time it was truly popular right? It's been all downhill since for them.

Leave the beast tribes alone. Here's what leveling as a DPS on my server looks like:
Alliance roulette: 5-10 minute wait, lots of exp.
Beast tribes: 200kish exp, 3 a day. 100kish exp for 3.0 ones.
Leveling roulette: 25-30 minute wait.
Highest level dungeon: 25-30 minute wait.
PvP: 20-25 minute wait for much less exp than a dungeon.
PotD: < 5 minutes, but terrible exp above 60.
Leves: HAHAHAHAHA, nope! There aren't any 4.0 combat leves because we wouldn't want DPS jobs to have a way of getting exp while sitting in ridiculous queues.
So, with long queues, I'll keep the beast tribe quests.

God so many people are such lalas these days.. its optional content no1 is forcing you to do it ffs
Don't forget the daily hunts from SB that give 100k+ EXP per mark, with 5 marks per bill stack, for 500k for the lowest rank bills(EXP scaling slightly to your level)Leave the beast tribes alone. Here's what leveling as a DPS on my server looks like:
