Chocobo raising for personal use (imo, Gold Saucer ver doesn't count), and Chocobo hot and cold.

Upgrade-able living space that can be taken to any size your gil pockets and time allow, for each and every player.

FC projects that are more visual based, those towers mentioned early on in development for example (or GW2 like zones you upgrade as a far more broad sweeping one).

Two or more dye slots per item.

    Glamour log.

Bestiary (cannibalize the hunting log I think, reward filling out your bestiary instead).

Outside of Golden Saucer, I want my Ferris Wheel ride with Barrett or Cloud :P.

    Bluemage. . .

Addons (for all those sweet QoL/UI enhancements, like a live search bar of all inventories on account).

Account wide Mogshop unlocks (for everything, like other popular western games).

    Shopping cart for Mogshop.

    Permanent dye unlock.

Gender swapping NPC that just takes any gendered item and switches the gender. Or just that the item changes based on who wears it but has the same name (or self adjusting name, but still same item).

Ability as a seller to check a box when putting something up for sale to allow individual sales. This would make selling materials so much more efficient for both buyer and seller. Too many times I'll need, I dunno, 4 of an item. *Checks market board* There are three singles, or a stack of 20 or higher. Yay....

Any open world content outside treasure hunting ,and hunt mobs would be cool. Plant some chests that spawn randomly , and drop assorted goodies. Perhaps the odd monster that drops something cool. How about an occasional rare spawn in raids that drops a cool item.

    And flying too

Is that like Everyone's Grudge from VIII, where the Tonberry deals damage based on the number of monsters you've killed?
It was specific to tonberries. Normal tonberries had everyone's grudge which did damage based on the number of tonberries you killed since the last time you used an NPC to cleanse it. There was a story mission where you fight a tonberry king who has an upgraded version called everyone's rancor that did something like 10x the damage. Given I think you were lv 50 or so when doing this quest and FFXI's HP didn't scale nearly as high on players meaning you had maybe 1K depending on job it was a good way to make newb players freak out when taking them through the battle. :3

I could see this only if they did individual instanced housing as players would complain of not enough space for their turbo-mansions.

You'd probably get Lightning at best..

I wanna see a lala use the monster skill Devour

Seriously, paying $7.99 for an item for just ONE character is a bit bogus.

I'm kinda split on this one. On the one hand I like crafting my own stuff, on the other, I hate finding out that I'm out of pigment when I want to dye new gear.

Ah, that does sound kinda brutal, but what would you expect from Tonberries?

They do have the hunting boards, but randomly spawning rare mobs that drop unique gear would be awesome.

    1. I am okay with this . There doesn't have to be a complete destruction of the neighborhood system (existing games can be referenced as example) which is some player's concern to this, but your turbo mansion comment is partly why I would be "for instanced" - because you could actually have a turbo mansion lol. That and the ability to give everyone a house means we can see some unique features added without ruining other player's experience.

    2. Lol, that sounds true /cry. It's not that I dislike her but I was just never really into her as a character either. FF series has other better female characters imo. To each their own I guess.

    4. Sometimes the "memory limits" barricades the game has like this one makes me feel like I'm playing a game from an earlier time. I've never suggested that their reasoning is false or what have you but that it's actually a reason makes me wonder if it wasn't done intentionally or if the system was completed by someone not concerned with international competition/capability (please compete! lol).

    5. Personally was just imagining they made dye recipes more complex/demanding to make but that they were then unlocked on your pallete, permanently, when consumed (so finding them via quests, shops, and other players is still important but not a constant tedium). You could then apply to gear as you see fit, a bit like you might see in Guild Wars 2. I just find having to juggle the inventory slots and googling where I can pick up specific dyes, or that there is cash-shop dyes that are consumable digital items, as a bit silly and unnecessary engagement. There is a bit of realism to it, but after they removed consumables like arrows I'm not really as concerned about that as I may have been before.

I wouldn't mind an instanced area where I'm at now. I never see anybody in the ward anyways...
