Clipping with big collars is a huge problem

No, but it would upset a lot of players who want long styles. We don't have many long ones as it is, so having it force you to hide the length when you wear a particular collar would suck for some people. I already hate that hats hide certain long hair styles.

Just have it go into the collar then, or part it so it'll drape on either side of your neck.

I much prefer this suggestion. With chest pieces though it would probably be harder to impliement. For the hats it simply does the hair up no matter what hat you wear. For the chest, it'd have to only do it on high collar pieces that cause clipping overwise.

Yeah. However it may be easier for them to include the option to part your hair in the aesthetician instead of going through every coat to see if it clips.
