My comment regarding tanks turning bosses applies only to bosses, I've witnessed numerous occasions where the tanks re positioned the boss to face away from me without having to hit the engaged key, after that the dps AI sort themselves out. On normal enemies yes, they run around if they lose a bit of aggro and don't reface them. However on normal mobs to stop the dps getting aggro I've found you need to hit engaged every time an enemy dies or the AI will just attack whatever is left standing randomly. On bosses however you don't want to micro manage them at all.

It may be as you say with the AoE, the AI re-positioning and a little luck has meant that they have stayed clear of these, still that would be extraordinary luck considering the number of times my THM stopped casting to move out of the circular AoE the SV boss uses randomly on ranged players. Still it could be as simple as when foe does xyz, move - which is not a true dodge as it means they may or may not managed to avoid the skill and that they move even when they are not the chosen target. This possibility is not one I had considered but in terms of simplicity it would allow AI to avoid some AoE while their general toughness would mean if they do get hit its not too much of an issue. Still their toughness does not account for everything - I had a lancer that got caught in Rime Breath and that was ouch but the healer had no issue patching him up.

If you want fast dungeon runs get 2 archers and go Stone Vigil. Just spam the engage button and see even the bosses getting completely obliterated to a point they can't even use mechanics. It's so ridiculously OP it's not even fair. A Squadron of 8 archers at lvl 70 could probably faceroll Super Savage Bahamut. Yeah. They are that strong.

This is the 20th wipe I've had on Tonberry King.

    I'm done.

Seriously, I have tried all three roles. How the hell can the AI be this stupid?

Has there been any testing with the AI in regards to how it acts at different levels? I was under the impression from the patch notes that they act "smarter" at higher levels for whatever tactics you set them as...

I finally got it done after a dozen or so wipes while playing as SAM. I had to continually mash the engage button on the boss like a qte to get it to even remotely stand still while I just burned the boss down.

The AI is retarded. Healers getting beat on? Don't care, another Tonberry spawned I've gotta run over to it. You click engage on a Tonberry that has spawned it'll get half way and decide to turn around and run after another one that has spawned. If you sit back and watch it carefully you'll notice that it goes out of its way to run back over across the arena to aoe taunt dead Tonberrys. The healer isn't much better, you click engage on a boss and the full mana healer opens with lucid dreaming...

I tested all dungeons with my squadron and i am really satisfied with it. The problem with WP can be solved by focusing down the adds instead of boss and spamming the engage button on the boss.
The tank will build enough aggro so you can burst it quickly enough to kill it.

Some issues i've found so far are:
    1) Tanks don't use flash/overpower right after shield lob/tomahawk so it takes some time before the tank has aggro on all mobs.
    2) I would prefer to level each mastery exclusively, even if it would take more time, rather than improving masteries at random after completing a dungeon.
    3) Finally i wished for squadron members to change to jobs than to stick with classes. (therefore job skills on top of class skills)

I notice in Brayflox last boss, it only spits poison at you, never your squadron. so if you're a healer or range, you don't have to move the dragon ever.

I think that, if you want to level, Stone Vigil is actually better than Wanderer's Palace. I don't get it, but the exp numbers I saw in the former were higher than the latter, and required less micromanaging.

I've played all the dungeons and got my emotes! Been in as tank and summoner. Overall I'm happy with the first release of the Squad. You do have to use engage/disengage a lot!
Stone Vigil seems the easiest and you get ok stuff. It's probably because I haven't figured out the last Tonberrys path and it often gets us. As tank i've had to raise the healer a few times. interesting...
Future state: perhaps a way to give guidelines before the next encounter? "on the next boss kill adds" or "ignore adds". I don't want to have to micromanage them too much or it won't be fun!

I only played 3 Missions with the Squadron so far. It's not terrible, but could definitely use some improvements. The major thing that annoyed me, is that the Squadron would always attack another target, instead of the one I was aggroing. So basically every battle I had to manually tell them to engage my target. And the healer... why won't she just heal? Leave the damage to the other 2 Squadron members, and focus on keeping me alive.

I think the Squadron would be really great, with FFXII's gambit system. Give me the ability to set parameters, so my Squadron members behave how I want them to.
