I'm a pugilist, what's my role?

This is pre 1.20 so some things may be fixed soon with redistribution of abilities.

Pugilist seems to be the new thief, hate control with spike damage.
But there are some gleaming issues with this. First is a lack of hate
control. Accomplice is ok, but the other abilities to complete this are
spread across 2 other classes. As for the spike damage with a 1 min
cool down on pugilist's only attack buff and 2000+tp move the
damage should be much much higher. Seeing as pugilist loses most
of it's damage in party situations due to the lack of haymaker.
(Jarring strike is a joke, less than 50% of haymaker damage for a .5 sec stun)

Evasion for pugilist is a joke, we may have the highest evasion for
10 secs out of every 30. The issue is that other classes can have
just as much or higher base evasion.

Confusing weapon materia magic potency? Last I checked seismic
shock is the only elemental attack for pugilist. Does Yoshi-P expect
pugilists to start casting spells?

I guess what I'm trying to get at, is what the %*$& is pugilists role?

the plans and pics was too poor quality. i have to see first hand before i decide. still waiting to see the finished blueprint.
