In Regard to Housing in Patch 4.1

I'm going to get a lot of hate for this, but I pretty much plan to get a small house for all my alts. I don't see why I can't if I want to spend the gil for it. But to be honest, if they'd allow apartments to go up to the same interior size as a small house I would ONLY have a house for my FC. It's just that the single rooms are so small, it's hard to get creative in there. Also I don't care much about having an exterior or garden. I just want more interior space. So deluxe apartments would help a lot.

It's not greed, since I'm not getting anything out of having houses. It's more I want to get creative with my space and apartments just don't allow enough freedom. Too small. Also monopolizing would be like taking over 50% of the houses for yourself, and I assure you I don't have THAT many alts. I may be slightly mad but I'm not completely insane. xD But fine. I will lock my alts out of "an essential part of the game," as people put it. Is that better?

I was one of those many who got a launcher error, by the time I got it fixed and managed to log in (half an hour after servers came up) our plots were all sold out on Lamia.

I know you are looking into people that bought to flip houses at inflated prices etc but this should show you there are more people wanting houses (and have worked hard for the gil for them) than there are houses available.

I do believe that restricting housing ownership to 1 FC plot and 1 personal plot PER ACCOUNT rather than per character would go a long way to both opening up more housing and stopping the people that are making profit from this.

Don't get too salty at someone wanting a house for each alt. If they plan on building a house and using the plot so be it. Now is this fair to the 75% of the player base that want a house and cant get one? no, its selfish and unfair but not against the rules. (Amarel 34 (op) clearly stated that this wouldn't be a problem if the apartments were larger. The real problem lies with the lackluster apartments and the scalping of plots by players and rmt gold sellers. More subdivisions only cover the symptoms of a failed housing system that allows housing monopoly's created by players and gold sellers to run rampant. Monopolys didn't work in the U.S. in the early 1900's and it wont work here in the end. Also separating content like gardening, engineering... from housing plots would go a long way to fix the housing market as well.

Thank you Dragon. I would gladly give up the house(s) I do have if apartments were bigger. I would give them up and let someone else get them. Or if I had a friend that wanted a FC house, I'd let them know so they could get it when I give it up.

Your rationale is stupid. Your reasonings for it aren't all that much different than the house hoarder cowards that we're dealing with. Prepare for a massive whirlwind you just reaped for yourself in the way of other players comments. Good luck justifying your rationale and greed with the masses. Wouldn't be a hill I'd wanna die on but hey, I don't have a horse in this race either.

I agree with the idea of 1 house, 1 FC house per account. So many people buy houses on alts to either use or sell, while others just want the one house and cannot even get that. I think it should be 1 house, 1 FC, and 1 apartment for account, and apartments should be made a bigger than FC personal rooms.. aren't they also more expensive?

Question, can you relocate from a small house to a medium one? or does it have to be medium to medium or small to small?
