I hope these housing fixes take Internet Speed into consideration.
I most likely won't be in the USA when 4.2 hits and my internet won't be great where I'll be.

I have long said Stormblood will be the make or break for people's patience. Many acknowledged A Realm Reborn as a salvage project and gave the developers understandable leeway. While their expectations grew with Heavensward, people also accepted this was their first expansion. We're now reached a point where FFXIV has grown far beyond the doom and gloom days of 1.x. This game is Square's most profitable by a considerable amount and everyone now expects more. It's among the reasons I get sick of server limitation excuses.
Another contributing factor, in my opinion, is the sheer number of lobby errors. It's one thing to not be fast enough but another when the game simply doesn't allow you in. After all the talks of "upgrading," it wasn't a good look for SE.

This will solve nothing. All new plots will be owned by the same people who brought every plot and own everything, until they don't fix this will never end. These news plots everywhere will be brought in 5 minutes and people who actually would need them will be left with nothing as always. You people didn't failed in making creating new plots for everyone, you have failed in creating rules so everyone would buy its own, and when you see things like Free Companies own entire regions, you can understand how your system have failed.

Are you gonna do something about the people that are hoarding multiple houses/plots on their alt accounts? I've found literally dozens on Excalibur over the last few years.
And related to that, you need to just outright BAN people that are flipping houses. Buying houses that encourages people to buy illegal gil for farmers since these houses generally sell for large amounts of gil that most people don't have like 50-100m. House hoarders and house flippers are just making the housing situation worse.

Thanks for the quick response! this is great news!
The Circle of BloodMay your body always be ready!
I really wonder if the solution you're coming up with will actually make it so that people actually get the chance to buy a house. Many people who want houses can't get it because FCs are flooding the wards and buying them out. Frankly speaking, and I'm sure it was mentioned before, making the housing transfer to Shirogane available at the same time as the initial release was a mistake and adding more wards won't solve the issue. I don't know what solutions is going to be made but I hope it won't just be a band-aid solution. Instanced housing might be good idea but that's just me.

Hopefully they'll listen to what people are saying and implement the 1 Personal and 1 FC house per account. Or maybe even they'll add a delay between the time a plot is relinquished for sale and the plot being available to buy? The first would at least slow down the resell market and the second would pretty well kill it off since re-sellers couldn't guarantee the plot to the buyer anymore. This will solve nothing. I'm not sure what more wards will solve on its own besides just a repeat performance of what we just saw. It was definitely crummy, but at the same time what kind of solution would even work? Making houses 1 private per account doesn't seem like a fix at all because some people play avidly on multiple servers if not data centers. A more server-based limit could help more than an account based one in my opinion, and not just for private use. Especially here in Gilgamesh, certain FCs own multiple houses for little to no reason except because they can. It was maddening trying to get a house with such things happening, but that's the way housing works to begin with. That's how it's always been, and even if you add in more wards, that's all that'll happen. People will wait for maint to drop, flood the server, cause connection issues, and then those with superior connection speed and money will eat up the houses. Housing was an unfair race since it was created. But that's just like life.
