I don't think we need 10 new levels next expansion. Please spend the time updating all existing content and adding new various content. Level 70 is a good spot for awhile.

They have no choice. This is a vertical MMO. If the verticality stops, it dies.
pretty sure we will see level increase.. altho it depends on the nature of the expansion.
out stat depends mostly on gear iLevel, which is locked behind Level that is also locked behind expansion.
unless SE figure out a way to prevent players with SB to purchase and equip crafted Lv70 Ilv900 gears.. we will prob see level increase every expansion.. which is annoying because they means our skills will get tossed up AGAIN every expansion.

Was leveling to 70 that hard for you that you made this thread asking to stop adding new levels in the new expansion which will come in 2 years from now?
Or you were just bored to death and thought to try a little bit of trolling?
YEP!
In vertical progression MMORPG you always get new stuff better than the old one. And devs in those system try to force this way (like the post 4.0 changes to tank jewelry because some people used old one, other example would be WoW side, with legion, they did some change in stat weight to force people to focus more ilvl than stats. )
So, yes, we could get more ilvl in 5.0+ but no more level.
But they will add more area. and MSQ/Side Quest. If we dont gain levels with those quest, it would be frustrating to do those, for people who dislikes stories.
Other thing. FFXIV is a game where... we have hard time to find what to do. i mean, half july i already had the 4 weapons i wanted on Susano, the jewelry on lakshmi... what more? Daily dongeon, weekly omega. Some people would had 3 x 2-3h on sadic mode. Aaaaaannd... thats all?
What you do so? leveling more. craft classes, collect classes, more jobs.
getting 10 more level is a good way for developpers to add some playtime to their player, and so, less boring effect (and so the "i should stop my sub" and finally "doest next expansion deserve my money?")
Last reason they will add 10 more levels => Lets get your class instant to lvl 70 with our 23 euros book!
Except the money question, is those 10 level a bad thing? not so sure. But mainly, it is directly implied with vertical progression.
I dont have matter to staying lvl 70 for the 10 next years, getting ilvl 1000 in the same level than the ilvl 300. But, i would look strange.
I'd personally be fine with 5 levels.
75 is a nice number.

More open world content at end game. Give people people an incentive to get out in the world and work together, make it feel like a living breathing world once you finish the MSQ.
Ninja clone jutsu! Have some ideas for it
1.a clone jutsu which can be an aoe attack that has clones up to 7 clones do single target damage to their 7 different targets for 10 seconds. If there are less than seven targets, clones will start stacking on enemies to do more damage. i.e 1 target = 7 clones attacking it. Potency on each clone should thus be 90.
1.b or it is a stationary jutsu-don't move- and the clones appear around you to copy your mudra and execute ninjutsu causing an aoe version of your ninjutsu .(can not be used with tenchijin.)
Examples:
- raiton: It'll look like those Aoe raitons from the Job quest
-suiton: New aoe animation for the jutsu.
- doton: slightly larger and placeable like SMN lvl 50 skill
-katon: more intense fire explosion. + burning debuff.
-Hyoton: binds all enemies in a large circle of ice. + frost debuff
-Huton: doubles the huton length from 70 to 140 seconds
- fuma: All clones throw the fuma shuriken for double potency aoe line
