I have read tons of houses stuff, personally my FC have a medium house in levender beds, I am on cerberus Btw, we planned to move to a large house in shirogane cause hour rooms can't afford to many people, yeah some got individual small houses, but in the end fc it fc and u stay more with your fc than alone, is a share pasional game, they show us like that they show house is important an overvalued, I predownload and log in at 5:00 PSD but the lobby was already 1213 in queued some how, but OK I didnt care I am 2nd leader in my fc so I got the responsability we moved and when I finally logged at 5:05 was all medium and large bought, only left small which I wasn't interested.

I've cancelled my sub. Obviously not just because of the housing situation, but it was the straw that broke the camels back for me.

It has absolutely nothing to do with being 'spoiled' or 'entitled'. Housing is an increasingly prominent part of the game's development and Shirogane was advertised as a major feature of the expansion. So, too, was Eureka and that has been delayed...but that's a matter for another thread.

I had to look something up for a friend of mine (has some problem about items from the collectors edition) and I did notice the mentioning of Shirogane housing as one part of the parts of the description of what people can look forward too. Right now this really feels just bad..advertising a feature that knowingly will only be reachable by a very small amount of people..and to top it off people did get emails that said how a new housing zone has opened, hours after they were already sold out..

Try less than 4. I got into Leviathan at 3:04am and every plot was gone.

We had a lot of players on our server of Gilgamesh crash, and after 3min, all the houses were gone. Shirogane, Lavender beds and the Sultana's left foot.

People were already standing in front of the Shirogane house they were looking for. I managed to snag an older plot since people were moving to the new areas. So I was lucky that Ward 1 had some small plots open. And while not the biggest house, it was the only one still available at the time within 3min of logging in by the docks of Mist for ward spamming.

This was my first step into the "Game of Wards" and... yeah, it wasn't a good time.

My experience with the launch of Stormblood was just as bad: I couldn't play for 2 weeks because of queues, crashes, and errors. I came in with expectations of not snagging a house: I'm on Balmung for pete's sake. Alas, I was still pretty disappointed by the whole housing ordeal. And yes, I had salt running through my veins as the launcher decided to suddenly become unresponsive to my clicks... only to finally work 6 minutes after 6am, thus placing me in a 2.5k queue. My friend and I even pooled our money together just to try and buy a small plot of land. What did we get out of it, though? Disappointment.

I really hope that Square takes a long, hard look at housing, squints their eyes, and goes, "Huh... this might just be a problem."

Losing faith over a top mmo because you didn't get a house? Might as well stop playing MMOs then. because it's worse everywhere else. Go into lootbox and cash shop hell then...Play the game for the game and not for an imaginary box.

Pretty hard to take you seriously when most MMO's have infinite housing.

I'm sure the server upgrade costs would be very high and Blizzard are an edge case in how much profits they get and the budget they have for upgrades and resources.

I'm thinking game design should change to reduce periods of extreme server load. Many people have made the suggestion that new housing plots should not become available at the same time that a maintenance ends because that encourages the concentrated logins the minute servers come online. If plots become available several hours after maintenance ends, then people have a nice long window to login at their convenience.

That and things like Ixion which was hell for the servers on release. Oh and 'Raubahn Ex', the main scenario launch problems. Content shouldn't encourage every person to be same time, same place. For mega fates, it would need to spawn simultaneously in more than one zone, making people divide up / engage the one near them.

i don't understand. If you saved like 60mil and you know some people only paid about 3mil or so, why wouldn't you just try to buy someones land?
