No Mor Dhona / Idylshire style upgrade zone
It was a pretty cool concept, and I was convinced the Doman Enclave would be rebuilt (It may still, but not yet).
Such shame, such sads, many tears.
SE please. We'll trade you Shirogane for it.

It's possible we may still see that but since this patch was almost entirely focused on Ala Mhigo and the aftermath. I assume we are getting back to Doma sooner or later.
I think this patch happened too soon in-game for that to happen. But I agree, I'm definitely looking forward to it.
The Doman Enclave was patched up a bit this patch. They even added a man dangling from a roof just like the man who fell of the bridge in Idylshire. He is truly the legend that returns.
Oh yeah? That's neat. I went there but didn't notice too much (Also I hadn't been there for a while). Hopefully it's a sign of things to come!
completely agreed! even while I was finishing up Stormblood I was trying to figure out where they were going to do the improvements this time: Dhoma/Yanxia? The Lochs? Rhalgr's Reach? i mean, we basically just finished up a couple of civil wars back-to-back, there's a lot of construction that's going to need to be done.
I'm praying that they go all out and one of the later MSQ sequences is actually about rebuilding throughout the realm. I already think it's crazy that we're going to be sitting outside the Ala Migho gates until 5.0 even though we just blew a hole in them, the least we could get is a progressive update to the Ala Mighan quarter or something..
I didn't even know this was something that happened...In one way, I'm looking forward to it and I like the idea...but on another...I like collecting stuff and exploring, so I hate time-limited content. I wish there was some way to actually see the 'ruins' even after the town was built up.
It could be through entering someones dream for some repeatable quests, or just a parallel world (warriors of darkness proved that world travel is technically possible).
That they've added a couple things to Doma does seem to hint at that being the main focus for restoration...
That being said
MSQ Spoiler
I wonder if the Saltery will see visual improvements in the coming patches, given it was specifically targeted as an area for economic and industrial improvement.
If I had to guess, SE is making areas 'upgrade/change' for different players depending on your progress in the MSQ, instead of new players walking in all like 'what the hell did I miss?'
For instance, it makes no sense for the Ala Mhigan Quarter to be suddenly completely rebuilt and thriving when you're still trying to liberate Ala Mhigo - and the MSQ is building up to having the Lochs in general changing alongside the Doman Enclave.
An example of this already exists, actually. Remember what happened to Rhalgr's Reach after the attack? You can chalk something like that up to one of the benefits of dropping PS3 support.

I assumed doma would be that. It just wouldn't be the hub city.
