"Return to Ivalice" Stormblood's 24 Man Raid

Definitely looks better in-game. I finished the Raid not too long ago, and got the Lancer body piece. That said, I am still incredibly underwhelmed. The gear dropped in the raid, feels and looks like beginner gear. Especially with those horrid looking head pieces. I don't want Lancer Class gear, I want Dragoon Job gear.

I mean, realistically, if they appear as NPCs, there's not a whole lot of reasons left as to why they couldn't be a playable race other than SE flat-out saying "we dun wanna". The model work would be largely done, and seeing as how tons of NPCs are actually able to be re-created in the character creator without issue I don't think it's a huge logical leap to assume that Viera models might be designed to be the same.

It's mostly going to come down to how strict SE is on their "we dun wanna", though. The cynical side of me says we might see them if Stormblood falters, in an attempt to bolster flagging revenue via 5.0 sales or Fantasia sales.

This gives me hope for Lupin! "off topic, kinda", but hey everyone wants a bunny, why not a wolf/dog/werewolf race too???

All the Ivalice gear looks horrendous. Even on my Ninja. I thought about getting caster body piece this week, but it's just.... ugly to look at to the eye. I wanted to get the DRG gear but looking at it, wasn't what I was hoping for in terms of Tactics. I was expecting us to get Tactics gear, not gear from a third party off brand, new character look a like contest design. :l

I wonder why they didn't have Tactics gear as raid drops, well, aside from the Samurai, which is based off of the female Samurai Tactics gear. Can't be that the demand isn't high enough. Are they just saving it for another future raid? I really hope so.
