So what was the point of the Shirogane housing delay again?

Honestly we all knew housing was going to be snapped up immediately by the people lucky to get on. There was no point in delaying the housing because it would have been gone in minutes regardless of today or SB's launch.

SE knew this would happen, it's happened any other time housing was available. The delay was honestly meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

I think would be more fair to unlock the housing districts maybe a hour after the servers come up, so that everyone can get in first, and then it becomes strictly a matter of speed when it comes to getting a plot, rather then speed plus avoiding the inevitable launcher/log-in errors by luck.

It was to give the same chance to people who picked up the game fresh from SB. They were given time to build money and progress their characters to house buying pre-reqs.

This happened.

Then we got a login massacre with errors and mile long queues.

everyone got their chance but it was still a cruddy chance. However, at least it was an equal cruddy chance.

Are you suggesting it should have been available at 4.0? Raubahn would have seen to it that no one gets housing in Shirogane.

On that tpoic - they should name their housing servers for Shirogane Raubahn1 - Raubahn12. Because yesterday it was just him all over again.

They worked hard on the story and it would have been a real shame if people had to skip through all of the story just so they could reach Shirogane quickly enough if it was released immediately. That would have ruined the experience.

I'm glad people who started with Stormblood got an equal chance - that was fair. What wasn't fair was keeping the same amount of wards that maybe could have worked during early stage of this game, but now with this player base? Housing is extremely frustrating and unfair.
