I have to disagree OP because of the whole Raubahn issue many players got stuck gated in content so those who got through it would of gobbled up all the houses before people managed to get to Kugane, unless u was the lucky one in which i think you should of not gotten a house for thinking selfishly.

This way would of been good if the login wasnt so bad.

Either way it would have been up to the luck of the draw. So the end result would have been the same. All this really did was confirm to tons of people that the housing system is still absolute trash.

They wanted to prevent players who were only looking into the game for 1-2 months from buying a house, and blocking its plot for 45+ days.

Also turning their carefully thought-out story into a housing race was not their intent either ^_^.

They did right to delay it at 4.0
But it was wrong to not delay it further in steps. 1 ward every following week would have been better than all 12 at the same time on patch day.

Releasing 1 ward every week wouldn't give them the data they need. Hopefully there will be information by the end of the week but they should have the data to show how quickly the 12 wards filled up and hopefully make a response about it.

I think would be more fair to unlock the housing districts maybe a hour after the servers come up, so that everyone can get in first, and then it becomes strictly a matter of speed when it comes to getting a plot, rather then speed plus avoiding the inevitable launcher/log-in errors by luck.

Not only one hour, a Few hours would be better since it takes almost hours to get online on very full servers.

you should be able to play the story without needing to skiprush it to get to the housing district. however, the reason it took THAT long until they opened it is because they wanted to implement the moving feature for existing houses before they open Shirogane.

It also gave all those lovely people who like to buy multiple houses a chance to level up another alt to snap up yet another house in their collection. I've seen several people buying up 4 or more houses in Shirogane as soon as it came out as well which I find pretty sad for the people who wanted to get a house for themselves or their FC. Luckily I wasn't going for one of the houses in Shirogane so I avoided disappointed but it's a shame for people who still haven't gotten a house yet.

Well with a personal FC that's 2 houses per character.. My low population server all of the houses sold out in around 30 minutes, more than enough time if you managed to get in early and didn't have the launcher bug. Also on a Tuesday at 11am most people are at work.
