I don't see how one could say this with a straight face. There was absolutely not even a hint at any point that this system was ever going to receive an update. This came out of nowhere and requires a finite resource to purchase. My post is not about me since I could still obtain enough feathers to obtain it just fine, but rather the good number of people in the community who cannot. This is a glaring issue, whether you refuse to see it or not.

I'm all for buying gold feathers with achievement points. Right now, they are pretty worthless unless you just started playing recently.

Exactly my thoughts. At least it gives veteran players something to invest the new currency into while solving the resource issue feathers suffer from.

I'd be more inclined to invite friends if they could play WITH Me on my server but....it's locked with no forseeable unlock so I'm kinda stuck there. Would have held off on buying if I knew new things would come out.

Didn't waste feathers. Bought all the mounts, no dye. Sitting at 7 feathers. Capped on refs. Not my fault I got them to play, but decided the game wasn't for them and haven't come back in 3 years and never will. I'll never get those sub feathers from those refs OR any benefit from the callback campaign.

We got Twintania and Amber Draught Chocobo for 3.0, now garm for 4.0; I'd really hate to think come 5.0, there will be yet another mount and still this capped currency.
