If an entire FC full of members did buy an entire ward, then good for them. They all got houses. What exactly is d*ck behavior and outrageous about paying members being able to buy their own houses?

I mean, in general I'm as "free-market" as they come. Unfortunately, this more or less exemplifies human nature. Think Black Friday sales after Thanksgiving lol. First come first serve is understandable, but there's a intentional shortage of housing. If they are going to restrict the number of plots available then there should be restrictions on who can purchase plots. It's not a dynamic system (such as the real world) that can accommodate more housing if there is more demand. There should've been FC housing first, then personal housing added later like the other residential districts.

There are restrictions on who can purchase plots. 1 house per character, 1 house per FC, must have cleared MSQ, must have access to the housing area. Or are you suggesting adding more restrictions? Like, must not be a member of an FC. Must not have anyone on your friend list. Must be a mentor. Must have BiS crafting gear. Must have maxed level retainers. Must have maxed level squadrons. Adding MORE restrictions wouldn't solve the issue and don't delude yourself or anyone else with that kind of thinking. Housing is the ONLY resource in this game that has such an absurd limit and the fact that you CAN sell your plot of land (or get paid to abandon it) just makes that resource and competition for that resource extreme. We can speculate all we want to about what those FC members are going to use those plots for; but we don't know and won't know. As of now, they got their housing just as everyone else could have. Is it unfair? No because they had the same issues everyone else had when logging in. Is it an outrageous d*ck move? No, again everyone had the same opportunity to get in and buy a plot. If you didn't make it, you didn't make it. Seems to me that this thread boils down to "I didn't get a plot, it's not fair that THEY did!" What's unfair is that SE has a limit to housing plots in the first place. Don't hate on people just because they got a plot and you didn't.

As for specific restrictions, I was referring to selling plots specifically for FCs. Congrats for blowing that out of proportion.

FC first, then solo housing doesn't solve the underlying issue with housing shortage. Right now at a ratio of what 1000:1, houses are better than gold. Personally, I don't want a house. I think it's a waste of time effort and money. For a ton of people, it's THE MOST IMPORTANT PART of the game, especially for FCs for access to airships, and to give their members a communal location. So, yea setting a priority to FC first then solo would be useful to some degree, but it's not difficult to build up a rank 6 FC just to purchase an FC house to resell. Again, doesn't solve the underlying issues; just shifts the requirements to obtain the house in the first place.
