These types of threads often get chaotic, but I'll put my two cents in. I'm not against healers not dpsing because it's not their job to. Their job is to make sure the party doesn't die within reasonable standards. A tank's job is to draw aggro and live - which includes using defensive cooldowns when necessary. I know it sounds like the tank is doing more than the healer is, but that's just how it goes. The healer is there to make sure you don't die. You are there to make sure you have aggro so the boss/mobs don't randomly slap your party members in the face. If you want to dps after generating enough aggro, that's your choice as long as you keep aggro. If a healer wants to dps after healing everyone to comfortable hp levels, then that's their choice as long as no one dies. But it goes both ways - you must also respect it if they choose not to dps for whatever the reason. If not, they can complain if you drop tank stance and start dpsing when your main job is to keep aggro and survive.
