    This. To expand on it a bit, the carbuncle house has to be applied in the house as an exterior fixture. The menu to edit this isn't available until the house has been built on the plot.

    To add on to what dusty popoto said, the carbuncle skin (and all other special housing skin) are an all-or-nothing option, you can't mix and match them. Figured you might already know this but just in case. :x
