This excuse irks me.

I mean... really. I've not heard it from any of the other MMOs out there. WoW having the biggest history of terribad servers until recently. Not once was: Can't do. Will break/rape/destroy the servers if we as so much add something onto it.

I would like more customization, but I have come to the conclusion they just will not do it. Its been what? 4-5 years? The further away we get the harder it will be. Just because of the way gear/armor look is and how much of it is in the game now. (2...3 expacs worth of gear.)

Butt seriously (lol) for miqote there's a bunch of gear that accommodates a ... ahem.. more generous posterior than we actually have. The tops were curved or angled so they wouldn't clip while standing. Now they look odd with this gap where the rear should be. Fix one or the other please, but I'd prefer them returning the default bottom to us.

I was just about to ask the same thing. Why is it that so many other MMOs are able to support more customization than FFXIV? I would think that FFXIV shouldn't be lacking for money, considering it's a sub game with a cash shop and has a pretty large active player base. I don't think adding some more customization options should be the huge server strain some people make it out to be. But hey, what do I know?

Regardless though, even if they don't add a butt slider I would at least enjoy if they gave us something a little more than the sad pancake booty we have right now. I don't need an entire slider for this, but please SE. This current butt is the saddest thing I've ever seen. Just edit the default size at least.

The problem with this game is that when they were making 2.0 alongside maintaining 1.0 they had limited recources and budget. For that reason they had to cut lots of comsetic features, graphics and focus more on gameplay and core mechanics/systems. Things like better textures better graphics and more character creation options had to remain out of the spectrum. They went for a fairly basic graphic setup for this game. For this reason it's now hard to add back features like this. It is possible but requires time and recourses Yoshi doesn't want to allocate for now. Well at least he said the butt adjustment might come back.

the picture is not as accurate because of not same pose which will adjust your butt shape. it was like the 3rd episode.

not accurate, they chose to lessen the graphics, so they can get more players. 1.0 needed the best PC to run at the time due to large zones, higher poly count textures on EVERYTHING
a small flower pot had the same amount of polygon/data as a player character. they did it for lower end pc, but the engine for ff14 now is scale-able so when pc get too and higher end console get out they can bump it up.

lesser graphics/textures. sliders only work if graphics are not near photo realistic like 1.0 was. also different engines and how games work.

The graphics are quite toned down from what they were in 1.0, so I think it should be viable now. But again, even if a slider is too much to ask for... I'm certain they could at least give us a bit more booty as the default!
