The the thing about ilvl sync is it doesn't sync gear to well....the ilvl of that dungeon ahah. Sure it syncs but to a point where its higher than usual. Hence why most new tanks (even when doing everything right) have aggro issue with lvl synced dps. Imo you could say you`re doing the "intended dps", while the RDM is doing "synced dps" lol.

Just to use this as another point and explain a little more on this specific point. I'm not a good teacher, but yknow. just an explaination for our new lancer friend here.

Theres level sync, ilvl sync, and a "true ilvl" sync. I dont know the formula or anything, but when gear is synced down in a dungeon, it's not actually strictly that level. An example is level 60 PvP, gear is synced down it 150, but thats stats on that gear are equivalent to 190. there's a cap, but the margin is there and noticeable. For a dungeon with a lvl sync of 40, i cant imagine gear being much more powerful than ilvl 90 or something.

In any case, when you outlevel and outgear a dungeon, you are still noticeably more powerful than a person at the same level range and gear as that dungeon. Great gear is important, you see!
