Me too no doubt bout that
Now the only thing left what has to be fixed/reworked/tweaked/ whatever u wanna call it is Bahamuts move>act mentality
But yeah things are getting way better I think. ^^

Well it is good to have official notes now, if though just preliminary. It finally answered the ruin changes and it is all proc based. Will have to try it out.

The proc is still the same but now upgrades ruin II instead of Ruin III
Can't edit my post on phone, reread it in my tiredness and saw the activation was removed so I could be wrong.

Based on the patch notes it seems like a decent start to resolving the Summoner's problems. The changes to Ruin III/IV should help mobility and DPS loss due the need to avoid AoE even though it is limited to DWT. The rotation is still kind of clunky and painful as it does nothing about having to start over if you should die during combat. I also wonder if the increased CD for Aetherpact will make it a once and done action thereby negating some of its utility.

Whelp, while I'm happy overall I gotta wonder why these changes were made. They did nothing to address how finicky Bahamut is - much less the usage of Addle as a dps increase, nor did they address the random nature of Ruin4. Death is still as punishing as ever where we lose our pet (slightly resolved via mp cost), our Aetherflow stacks, our Aethertrail progress, and our DWT uses towards Bahamut all still get reset. It's just bizarre to me because unless I'm taking crazy pills, these were the biggest complaints about SMN in general - Devotion aside.
Maybe in 5.0

I'm quite satisfied with the changes.
I think they could've done it more elegantly like increasing Tri-Bind's potency by at least 50 regardless of Trance (so like Blizzard II) and Ruin III upgrades into Ruin IV during Dreadwyrm Trance to get rid of the RNG, but these are still improvements so I'll take it.
The major problems still remain like how it's the most punishing by death and how it's still clunky as ever, but it's a start.
I'm still hoping that they make job similar to the PvP version but I don't think they'll be doing changes anytime soon.

The changes aren't bad but I feel they could of done different things to get similar if not better results. While making Tri-Bind an new AoE filler for DWT is nice we only really have a filler during that 15 seconds, that eaves potentially 30 seconds of non-AoE Damage, Bane and its nerfs aside. Personally I think converting Ruin II and Ruin IV to AoEs would of been the smarter thing. And while these changes are good bad, what ever let us not forget the most important thing that SE is trying to make us forget
EGI GLAMOURS
Where the hell are they???
I thought the whole point of 1 dungeon per odd patch was to have more time to develop more stuff. Like what the hell?
And on a tangent: Male Bunny Suit!
I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.
