Not trying to step on any toes (especially as I LIKE the Adventurer Squadron idea) but trying to defend the "shouldn't be forced to play with others in an MMO" thing is kinda laughable.

what's really laughable is "forced to play". people should want to play, why force anything?


If that is the only real definition of it in your opinion that's great.
But it is not GroupedMassiveMultiplayerOnline.
Just means you are online the same time as many people in the same world.
Most modern mmos with great graphics, servers can't even handle massive anything without lag for most players in a dynamic open world and retain extreme difficulty.

If you want to be that technical, you don't even have to all be in the same world. It is sufficient if there are many (Massive) players that can potentially somehow connect to each other (Multiplayer) via the internet (Online).
There doesn't even have to be a persistent world, if you are technical about the term. League of Legends would qualify, as MMOBA.
