I really think if summoner could have all they summon Demi and have carbruncle more as the fight between demi and companion it work well. if summoner could have demi titan garuda and Ifrit aswell as a Demi Shiva and Ramuh and Bahamut plus have just Diamond and Amethyst Carbruncle, it be really work well for summoner. when I got 70 on summoner I final felt like it become summoner again. Summoner's Demi could give buff for example

instead have it summon Bahamut it could

summon have selection of Demi to chose for. see to me summoner is only draw on the Prime power for short time while carbruncles are more could a faction of the Prime more like a small factions

Also Diamond and Amethyst could thunder and Ice carbruncles

not the case in FFXI at all. they were too good. rdm and bard (and later corsair and geomancer) were some of the most requested jobs in the history of the game. bard being the best. if you played bard you basicly had to set yourself on do not disturb or people would ask you all day to come do stuff.

Hmm but it's like another person said, they're either only good in few situations or too good and required, balancing pure support classes is a nightmare.

No need to say sorry savagelf. Your idea is a good opinion as any opinion, no worries
Summoner as support is a nice/fun idea and I wouldn't mind if it got more support skills like borrowing buffs from the demi summons like you said. Ifrit could give damage, garuda skill/spell speed, Titan defense.

Things like that are really fun I agree. But I don't like puuuuure support classes. I still want summoner to be dps first and maybe support as second role.
