When your implementation of something will only reach like 1% of players because of the very strict requirements needed to even be able to fight it, let alone beat it, and this goes at the cost of possible different kinds of content then there is indeed a problem with the implementation of this thing. I see people hype about Ultimate bahamut but I wonder how many of those people will even be able to fight it, or beat it. I wonder how long before we will see threads with the crushing disappointment people will experience with this and what a waste of time it is

If people can beat Neo Exdeath (either on farm status or just barely), then they can try their hand at Ultimate (or wait until 4.2 when the ilvl is raised and the floor restrictions are removed). Yoshi-P has said that he expects the best raiders to clear it in a few days... and if it takes over a month for them to beat it, then it'll be considered impossible to PuG.

Also, this is something being thrown into the odd numbered patch, which is usually mostly casual content + an Extreme fight. The fact that SE are including something for hardcore players to enjoy in the odd patches is actually rather nice (even if it is just a remixed boss fight gauntlet thing). I'm probably not going to be able to ever do it, but kudos to SE for trying to appease their entire playerbase.

At least it's not Lord of Verminion, which majority of the playerbase do not touch, despite it being instantly accessible.
