*looks up from sandwich. Looks around. Slowly puts sandwich away*Having DPS buttons to use when solo and having time to use them in groups are different things. SE could say what they expect in groups. Hall of the Novice does say "there's nobody who needs healing, you should help attack the target" after all. Then they give you fights with large gaps with no incoming damage, and it seems unlikely they expect you to eat a sandwich during that.

Well, now we need to ask the real question: What are the best sandwiches for healing?
I'm thinking a grilled cheese, because it'll hold together really easily so you don't have to worry about having ingredients falling out while you're healing.

Hmm, but I like to dip my grilled cheese in ketchup so that might be an issue!

Now this is a topic I can sink my teeth into - Grilled Cheese? Really? that melty goo all over your keyboard? Make mine a turkey and goat cheese with green apple and arugula.

It doesn't really even have to do with solo-leveling or job quest/MSQ instances. If SE didn't want healers to DPS in parties, they would lock out offensive spells a la the PvP changes--simply have a HUD for duties only that features only healing magic.
It's more like I said: SE knows they cannot enforce a playstyle onto the playerbase. They tried to make tank stance dancing harder/discourage it--that didn't work and they were pretty quick to reneg on the WAR Beast Gauge penalty for switching stances. Because the community actively complained loud enough/stopped rolling the job.

If we're talking purely optimal sandwiches, you need something that won't require wiping your hands between button presses, so this means the best grilled cheeses are out. Because if the cheese ain't flowing, your craving ain't going.
Therefore, the purest optimal sandwich we can go for would actually be careful construction of main ingredient, which would wrap around the cheese, toasted. This would put the cheese squarely in a position where it could only fall out due to user error or reckless engorgement.
However, if we introduce edible wraps into the equation, we have to rethink our approach, as an edible wrap would contain the mess without requiring additional effort to remove.

I can see that. I like to put the ketchup directly on top instead of dipping, so not holding it correctly would get messy. Dipping seems like a superior solution in this case since you can at least grab the sandwich on any side without getting ketchup on your hand.

Edible wraps do have the problem of compression bursting. You know that split in the side as the contents get packed down during the bite. And, there is the bottom oozing issue too.
Could do a grilled cheese with super thick cut bread. Hollow out the middle creating a pocket to put the cheese into(can add other ingredients, like bacon!!!!!!), thus containing it....now I think I will test that later this week. I think using shredded cheese would be best for it.If we're talking purely optimal sandwiches, you need something that won't require wiping your hands between button presses, so this means the best grilled cheeses are out. The answer is clearly a stuffed sandwich is best for healing, held in a napkin to contain any errant escaped innards.Could do a grilled cheese with super thick cut bread.
