Oh yes, amd FFT style minigame would be amazing.

I'm not sure if making it Squadron based would my choice though, only from the Verminion comparison. Verminion was a sore dissapointment for me and remains so. Many of us assumed it would be turned based, and others expected a light Pokemon rip-off, instead we got the worst UI I've ever had the displeasure of handling for any game ever.

So, honestly just rehauling Verminion from the ground up and making it play more in the style of FFT would get us our minion battles, increase it's popularity in the saucer, and give us another wonderful reference to the classic spin-off series.

I believe that's what Verminion is, and not everyone likes/is good at rts style games so adding that as part of the msq would be a really bad idea I think.

Verminion is real time strategy, FF Tactics is turn based strategy.
Verminion can be great, if they change it to turn based and the arena not flat.

Or they could have just made it FF Tactics based instead of an RTS like no one asked for to begin with. Think a lot of people were expecting it to be Pokémon-ish like WoW's pet battles or something along those lines, though. But admittedly, a FF Tactics version is a better idea.

But on topic...yeah, I think a mini game similar to FF Tactics would be an excellent idea, considering the raid we're getting. Squadron-based activities based on Tactics would have been interesting though.

WoW pet battles is VERY reminiscent of FF ATB battles...

We're just saying an FFT turn-based style rehaul of the piss-poor RTS mini-game that Verminion in it's current form is would be an overwhelmingly welcome change since it's, by far, the deadest content in the game.

I keep complaining about it's UI, but have you tried to play it when you use a controller? It feels like the people behind Verminion forgot the Cross Hotbar was a thing, and then was furious when they had to add the ability for controller users to play it, so they made it as clunky and unintuitive as they could.

It's a disaster.

Yeah, I did the first 2 tutorial missions before I was 500% done with it. Don't think I did so well on those 2 either, but was apparently passable. It's ridiculous to start, but trying it with a controller was like...

Considering it started as an April Fools joke that was a parody of the very real Lords of Vermilion (distributed by SE), I'm not really sure why anyone thought it wasn't going to be RTS/Moba style once they announced they were actually going to add it. There was zero chance it was going to be anything else.

That being said, a FFT style mini-game added to this game would be, in a word, amazing. I'm all for it.
